***Ottawa Meet: GTA Rendezvous point!!***

Alright guys, Here's the scoop... We have to be in Ottawa for 2pm!

GTA guys will rendezvous at Fairview Mall (Hwy 404/Sheppard) on the North side where the Sportscheck (or sporsworld, whatever it's called). We have to leave Fairview Mall no later than 10am!!

Which means the West end guys will have to meet us at the Mall before then!
And I know how punctual all you guys are!! No kidding this time! Not there before 10am, you'll just have to catch up to us along the way...

Who's posting up the other rendezvous points along the way??? Do we have to stop in Oshawa? Belleville?? Kingston???? Speak up guys!!

For the people who haven't been keeping track on the Ottawa Meet sticky, most of us will be staying here...

Econolodge
2098 Montreal Rd
613-745-1531
~100$ per night

Make reservations now!

A little over a week to go!!!

Lates,

The RX7's will need a head start anyway. The 8's can show up an hour later and still beat the 7's into Ottawa

Enjoy the meet guys. Safe travels to all and post lots of pics.

OK a 1/2 hour head start is probably more accurate. :D

Even if you were right, the average age of 8 owners means your bladders requires more washroom stops. Once again we win.

I'd rather deal with the 8 crew's bladder issues than blowing a turbo on the 7 for doing nothing more than keeping up with traffic . By the way, have you guys decided if you are going to hire one tow truck per RX 7 for the trip to Ottawa or are you going to take a flyer and only hire one for each 2 RX7's?

PS. I'd switch my 8 for a 93-95 FI rx7 in good condition any day of the week LS, I'm just having fun.

And with all that voluminous trunk space, they don't have to worry about marking up the rear seats when they try to stow their walkers and bingo dabbers.

I know your kidding, I forgot to add a smiley in my post to make sure you knew I was J/k so here is a few to make up for it. :D

But coincidentally I did take a test drive in a RX8 at Airport Mazda this week. R.P.M. and I gave it a good thrashing but we both felt it was a little under-powered. I don't know how accurate the 238hp number is when a FD has only 17 more hp from factory but feels remarkably quicker.

But back on topic see everyone at the meeting point.

Although I already mentioned this at the RX Club meet, I can't make Ottawa either, I did beg but it did not change the outcome.

Take lots of pics!!

Not very accurate, but when you add the REVi intake it's more like 260HP!!

Damn side ports!!

Sorry NEO, hijacked your thread. :p

FD will always feel faster, it has more torque as well as HP.

Anyways, I'll represent for you guys this year. I'll have my vid camera mount done this week, so we should be posting videos soon after the meet. :D

Okay, from looking at the mirror thread to this one that is in the 7 forum, it looks like there will be two convoys leaving Toronto - one taking highway 7 and the other taking the 401.

If there are people along the 401, east of Toronto, who would like to join the convoy, please speak up so we can figure out where to find you.

Neo: Don't worry about stopping near Oshawa, as I'm heading up with Leigh in the morning and taking the Hwy 7 route. Also Ian & his brother are supposed to leave on Friday.

That's alright MyRxBad... We'll see you guys at Corel Center...

As for the rest of you, show up BEFORE 10am at Fairview mall (north end around Sportcheck)! I'll be showing up around 9:30am or so...
We leave 10am on the dot!! You'll have to catch up to us if you're late!

Danielson, we'll be making a stop at Belleville to fill up our tanks. Only 1 Sunoco in town..
