*** VAN MEET JUNE 27th ***

This is the best possible day for me, as it hits at the end of my vacation, and I am going to the interior for the week, and can be back for this day. Otherwise, I am booked all other weekends at work, yay .

Unless we are willing to do this on the 21st, but I am worried about those of us with families and work as well.

The plans so far are pretty simple. Go for dinner, then go for a drive up through the Duffy Lake area.
If anyone can supply a map of where we would be going on this ride, it would be very helpful.

As well, and suggestions on where to go for dinner? This as well would be great.

If we have no suggestions on this, then we will pick a place which is more central to go to the drive afterwards. So please, if there is somethign you would prefer avoiding food wise, then make a suggestion and lets see how it goes.

Thanks for your time and suggestions, it will help make this work best for all of us, and allow us all to enjoy our meets.

You know, that dorsal fin on the back of the killer whale is kind of triangular... now if I were an artist maybe it could be made to look more like a rotor. Hmmm any takers? Might be a logo in there somewhere.

PS my avatar is the official mascot for the Shooting events at the 94 Commonwealth Games in Victoria

It is making me think of Indian art, like the orca style, with rotors incorporated into the styling? any thoughts? or anyone good with photoshop?

I will see if I can find a pic of some art like it, and try to draw a temporary idea thing, hehe, If I can find a pic of it

So far there seems to be no complaints about doing it on the night of the 27th, if it is better earlier, please post and let us know, and we can find a time which works for all of us, I would say we meet aroun 4pm - 5pm, where I am unsure as yet, maybe we will have in finalized before I go on vacation, if not, then I will probably get Dannobre, Rotary, or BIU to help finish the organizing for me, since I will be out of touch for over a week at that point, but hopefulyl I can get online and check it out when I am away, Or I will take soem pics of the Coquihalla and get more of yas interested in a weekend trip to the interior later in the summer.

A couple of things we need to figure out here, first, What time should we meet up, and where to meet?

We talked earlier, and agree it is a hefty drive, but a worhtwhile one. Food will be needed most likely, hehe

Wak, I liked your ideas for being the passenger photo man, if ya want, my car is being volunteered as the mobile photo stand, hehe

I am thinking if it takes approx 5-6 hours drive, seems longer than I thought it would be, but we should take into account stops for pics, food, pitstops, etc... Maybe noon or in the earlier part of the afternoon to meet up then begin the fun run, well, please, post thoughts and comments, hopefully, we can get it set up so as to make everybody happy.

well I did the exact same loop a few weeks back (my other thread with pics) and I left richmond at around 1pm and got home at 11pm so yea it's pretty much a 10 hr drive! And I only stopped for a few pictures and a quick cheeseburger combo at Dairy Queen in Lyntton. So it'd probably be best if we left mid morning like around 9 or 10am?

and, how can I lose fellow 8s? :p

For anyone who hasnt come out to a meet with us, or those who wish to come out again this time, please let me know either through pm's or by posting in this thread, so we can get it organized at the earliest possible date so as to allow for all possibilities, such as figuring meeting place, most likely places to stop on the way, where for lunch, etc...

The sooner we get an idea of how many people are interested the easier it will be to plan.

Added bonus, you can all check out the Greddy exhaust on Dan's car, and we can see how Canzoomers stage one is, once he gets it installed, should be nice to see
