Sales rep, steve went on vacation for a week. Your calipers are the only thing I'm waiting on. I'll get more updates for you by weds when he returns. They were to be receiving them this week btw.

Thanks, Rishie

So steve,

Did you want to wait for the newest caliper or go with the RB440 and use shims? Please do send me PM or something when you get a chance.

understood, there is still an issue. All OEM rotors are 24mm thick, even the RB ones.

So option:

1. Get now but use 2mm shims on either side caliper
2. Wait til Feb when the ideal caliper is released for the OEM Thin 24mm rotors.

Yes of course bro. I think you should wait cause RB didn't want you to go with RB440 caliper since it's designed for a thicker rotor. you can potentially lose some bite and piston stroke without those shims. With too much shim you might get some vibration out of the pad i'd think.

do the wait game for a month and you'll have their latest and greatest.

Too make you feel better i know RB has moved away from

Non staggered piston or diameter arrangement to staggered piston diameter and arrangement on the newest calipers. This is just how Endless makes their kits and many of the more affordable brake companies are following suit.

i just got off the phone with racingbrake. he says actually the kit you are speaking of made for wider rotors is for the rx7, as well as the the new piston design. the rx8 calipers will not change and the black ones i want are in stock and can be shipped out just as soon as you let him know! i apologize if there has been any miscommunication on my part. please let me know, thanks!

Man those guys are confusing the hell out of me. I'm gonna make the call to get this straight. I have emails from Warren the President stating otherwise, maybe they are getting their signals crossed over there. My apologies but i will get to the bottom of this.

Thanks, Rishie

I wanted to update everyone. I've been getting partial shipments, bits and pieces from RB. I've got all the rotors, just missing some of the brake pads.

I've received tracking from RB on some stuff showing up today and then another shipment showing up on the 25th.

SO, between tomorrow and Monday everything should be shipped out.

I should be receiving the Caliper kit on one of these days as well Stephen.

Thanks, Rishie

Well if you can tell me the amount of distance you have between the Caliper and the inside of the wheel spoke I should be able to figure it out once I get the calipers at the end of the week.

Mmm that won't give me certainty but i can cross reference the disk you ordered.

When are you going to receive the wheels?
