I'll ship you my stock rotors for them sweet calipers.

Endless Rotaries 12-14-2007 04:01 PM

Huh, i'm confused. You will need your rotors bro. hehe.

Spin9k 12-14-2007 04:08 PM

So how much for the caliper upgrade only, and does it fit RPF1s 18x9 45mm without spacers? Will stock pads fit or ??

Endless Rotaries 12-14-2007 05:54 PM

Stock pads won't fit and I doubt that they will clear the wheels sir. Hmm....

Since RB doesn't have any clearance diagrams I have no way to verify. Oh wait, I can email them since they know the RPF1 fitment. sweet....

Pm me with your zipcode again if you don't mind. It's cheap though. a good amount of savings over their web price.

Rishie

Endless Rotaries 12-14-2007 05:55 PM

Stock pads WON'T FIT.. This is their RB 4 Piston caliper, pads are specific to those.

Rishie

Endless Rotaries 12-19-2007 02:48 AM

I'm extending this until we hit this mark 5K. We're halfway there.

Rishie

shinka213 12-19-2007 08:32 AM

PM'd

Price on the front calipers?

Endless Rotaries 12-19-2007 01:12 PM

Pm's replied.

Nobody makes Aftermarket Aluminum calipers for our car unless you feel like losing your ebrake function.

Senna 12-20-2007 03:00 PM

How much of an upgrade are the one piece rotors over stock? And how adequate will they (one piece) be for HPDEs vs the two piece?

Endless Rotaries 12-20-2007 03:04 PM

1. Racingbrakes Curved Vanes should improve cooling over the OEM stuff
2. The Slots will help to shave the pad providing fresh pad material, like cutting the pad
3. Slots will also help to get the pad to heat up quicker

1. Going 2 piece will improve heat dissipation and reduce weight.

Those are the basic benefits I can think of. Whether or not it justifies the added cost is something you will have to determine.

scsi 12-21-2007 12:13 AM

scsi 01-14-2008 02:25 AM

update?

Endless Rotaries 01-14-2008 12:36 PM

Sales rep, steve went on vacation for a week. Your calipers are the only thing I'm waiting on. I'll get more updates for you by weds when he returns. They were to be receiving them this week btw.

Thanks, Rishie

Kane 01-14-2008 12:42 PM

And for me and my new toy?

scsi 01-14-2008 09:03 PM

ohh man sorry to cause a wait O_O

Endless Rotaries 01-16-2008 01:30 PM

So steve,

Did you want to wait for the newest caliper or go with the RB440 and use shims? Please do send me PM or something when you get a chance.

Rishie

scsi 01-16-2008 03:37 PM

hey, your PM box is full. i do not believe i have an issue.. I'm not using the OEM rotors, I have the RacingBrake 2pc. Curved Open-Slot rotors, purchased from you!

Endless Rotaries 01-16-2008 04:07 PM

understood, there is still an issue. All OEM rotors are 24mm thick, even the RB ones.

So option:

1. Get now but use 2mm shims on either side caliper
2. Wait til Feb when the ideal caliper is released for the OEM Thin 24mm rotors.

Rishie

scsi 01-16-2008 04:16 PM

will the price you quoted me still hold for the new version?

Endless Rotaries 01-16-2008 08:21 PM

Yes of course bro. I think you should wait cause RB didn't want you to go with RB440 caliper since it's designed for a thicker rotor. you can potentially lose some bite and piston stroke without those shims. With too much shim you might get some vibration out of the pad i'd think.

do the wait game for a month and you'll have their latest and greatest.

Too make you feel better i know RB has moved away from

Non staggered piston or diameter arrangement to staggered piston diameter and arrangement on the newest calipers. This is just how Endless makes their kits and many of the more affordable brake companies are following suit.

Rishie

Rishie

scsi 01-16-2008 09:39 PM

awesome, i can wait, no rush :)

Endless Rotaries 01-17-2008 12:59 PM

Ok cool, i've notified them.

Rishie

scsi 01-18-2008 12:48 PM

i just got off the phone with racingbrake. he says actually the kit you are speaking of made for wider rotors is for the rx7, as well as the the new piston design. the rx8 calipers will not change and the black ones i want are in stock and can be shipped out just as soon as you let him know! i apologize if there has been any miscommunication on my part. please let me know, thanks!

Endless Rotaries 01-18-2008 01:24 PM

Man those guys are confusing the hell out of me. I'm gonna make the call to get this straight. I have emails from Warren the President stating otherwise, maybe they are getting their signals crossed over there. My apologies but i will get to the bottom of this.

Thanks, Rishie

scsi 01-18-2008 03:37 PM

not sure who i spoke with, but he said he had emailed you just yesterday about something. let me know how it goes!

Endless Rotaries 01-22-2008 12:23 PM

I wanted to update everyone. I've been getting partial shipments, bits and pieces from RB. I've got all the rotors, just missing some of the brake pads.

I've received tracking from RB on some stuff showing up today and then another shipment showing up on the 25th.

SO, between tomorrow and Monday everything should be shipped out.

I should be receiving the Caliper kit on one of these days as well Stephen.

Thanks, Rishie

scsi 01-22-2008 02:30 PM

thanks for the update!

shinka213 01-22-2008 02:53 PM

hey rishie...
i just ordered new rims....33 offset up front...
how can we tell if the RB calipers will work?

thx

Endless Rotaries 01-22-2008 03:07 PM

Well if you can tell me the amount of distance you have between the Caliper and the inside of the wheel spoke I should be able to figure it out once I get the calipers at the end of the week.

Rishie

shinka213 01-22-2008 03:21 PM

i dont have that info and not sure where to get it...but i can give you the wheels....

Volks GTFs top secret edition gold
19x8.5 +33 front

also, would they work with EBC 3GD rotors...i have them on the car now..they replaced oem without issue...still running the oem calipers

Endless Rotaries 01-22-2008 04:05 PM

Mmm that won't give me certainty but i can cross reference the disk you ordered.

When are you going to receive the wheels?

Rishie
