ZOOMBY'S NSW RX8'S PALM BEACH CRUISE 29/3/08 Review and Photo's
Hi All
Just got back from the cruise today, and what a great day and drive it was ... The weather was great and the meet up point awsum and likewise the destination, which both catered for all attendees more than perfectly ... It was great to meet the new faces and there rides, and also have a chat with the old faces too, which some I hadn't seen in a quite sometime (Kunz/Mikeyr/Spiderbrigi/Hank) ...
It was an early start for me detailing my car, although a little earlier for Nick (Nikoid), who travelled all the way from Canberra at the same time i got up lol . Anyway I arrived at the meet-up point 20mins early, and there were 4 RX8's there on my arrival....And from then the RX8's kept rolling in, and I believe the count was at 17 before we departed the meet point ...As we had some late cancellations, although this definitely did not change how the day went.... Mikeyr met us at the meet point too, so the count went up to 18 hehe...
We were missing our resident photographers too , although the cameras were out in force, so there will be plenty of piks posted soon .... Before we departed the meet point, we organised a few awsum group shots too ... And then we set off for Palm Beach, in one big group, and were separated very very rarely ...As the majority of the time, the scenery was RX8 after RX8 all the way up to Palm Beach . So you can imagine, what a sight this would of been ....Upon arrival, Palm Beach residents knew we were coming, as we had the whole scenic car park to ourselves .... We grabbed a bite to eat, and chatted a bit more and then jetted off home....
Colours represented today were Velocity Red/Stormy Blue/Brillant Balck/Winning Blue/Titanium Silver/Metro Grey(pls correct me Fitzy)/ Shinka, and this included a Rotormaster supercharged 8 (hanks) and also Kiets Turbo charged and very modded 8, and also Fitzy 40th anniversary edition(finally i see the rear film option lol). There was also a old skool rotary that turned up a 808/rx* and a heavilly modified Nissan 350z, at the meet point.
Id just like to Thank Brigitte(spiderbrigi), for your assistance on this cruise...And also everyone one that attended, the new members and old ones too of course, and also Nick for your efforts from the Canberra Contingent.... It was really a great day, and pls stay tuned for the next one...Also id like to thank Hank aswell, as that was quite a show mate , who would of thought a ride around the block could be like that hehe(im sure the other passengers, share the exact same view)...Thanks once again mate, thats one hell of beast, you have under the bonnet ....
Look forward to seeing you all soon on the next event, and please post any piks/vids of this cruise, in this thread. I will be posting my piks, as soon as I can(probably tomorrow, gotta go out lol)....And apologies to anyone that I missed out on saying goodbye , while I was in Hanks Ride .
Signing off,

Congratulations Waldo on a fantastic cruise! Great timing and organisation! You even got the weather spot on! (I got home and tucked my Rx in the garage and it started to pour with rain…how did you time it so perfectly??)
It was a fun drive and great chance to see some old and new faces and some great cars…I have to say my fav was Kiet’s car – just luv the colour!!
Thanks again Waldo, you are a champion – I know these things are not easy to plan…looking forward to the next one!!

Thanks Waldo for organising a top cruise. This was the best cruise I have ever been on. Great variety of RX8's, good numbers of cars, and we all managed to stay together nearly all the way to Palm beach. I had to rush off to work and didn't get a chance to say goodbye to everyone. Good, yet again to see everyone and meet some new people too. The cars all looked awesome. Can't wait to see some pictures..

Hi All ,
Apologies for the delays with piks, I have been a little busy . I took over 170 piks on the day , so I have spent a quite a bit of time editing them. So that I can upload them here as a smaller file , and also getting rid of the ones that didn't turn out well ... I will upload them definitely by this Saturday, although I will attempt to have them on here l8er tonight ... If anyone wants any of the piks i took in a bigger resolution, just pm me your email address and I will send them to you...
Once again It was great to catch with you all, and it was definitely an awsum cruise ... Keep an eye out for the piks , and see you on the next cruise ...Also please post any piks or videos, that you took on the day, if you haven't already done so...
Cheers ,
