If you want to REALLY know how much fun an RX8 can be, try towing a caravan for 17,400 kilometres around Australia, then jump into the rotary within 30 minutes of getting home and go find a nice winding, undulating road.

Don't ask why it took 30 minutes.

I love that feeling!

I get it at work after driving a Toyota land cruiser tray-back that you have to push to do 100km/h. It makes a normal car feel good and the 8 very special.
With the Toyota being diesel it doesn’t like high rpm but my excuse is it should have beeped at me

 

There's always the horn (it beeps!) to bring back the thrill of the 9,500 gear change..
