Wonder if this guy will be selling his 8

No license for 18 months and half his weekly wage goes to car payments.

The ramifications of this blokes drink-driving will take him many years to get over. If he's got a $40 + loan this will be one of the biggest fines in his life.

I suspect there will be ramifications on his job, girlfriend/wife etc. For the sake of everyones safety, lets hope he learns his lesson....

There is no shortage of idiots around here.
Our local hoon is having a holiday from driving after he pleaded guilty to failing to submit to a breath test. The police dropped the charges of assault and resisting arrest . He claimed they beat him up so he ran away, I don't blame them. I would have too. I am not fond of seeing some idiot coming sideways at me around corners on these narrow roads and my kids drive now too.

In the reported case I wonder who will get the blame, Mazda for making the car, Bundaberg for making the booze or the pub for selling it to him.

Despite all the media fuss alcohol doesn't cause violence it only amplifies it and fast cars don't mean the driver is a hoon.

Agree with all the above.

Let's hope both these kids learn from the time spent catching the bus and don't end up dead next time (or worse, take some innocents with them...).

Part of these stoopid kids sentence should be that they have to attend a major/fatal road trauma...that will fix them forever. I get so sick of reading this stuff....lack of insight starts it then they potentially can kill someone. What the hell are the parents saying to them?
I got caught walking home drunk by my dad and I can tell you I spent the next week in purgatory for it! I was 18!! God was it harder when we were younger?? Lucky they caught that kid when they did...drinking all that booze his BA would have been at that level and climbing...I think they should have re-tested him every 20 minutes and then thrown the bloody book at him..... arrrgghhhh
