Most of us don't pay attention to mazda dealers (well I for one don't). I'd start off with trademe or a wreckers.

I have one of the Adrenalin R mufflers on my RX8, and its a very well made item. I would certainly recommend one for the RX8.
At least being that its made in NZ, if something does fault, you can send it back to them.
Excellent product.

Its certainly a reasonably deep tone, compared to some I've heard.
They are made of a heavy gauge stainless, so they are solid. The rear muffler setup is no lighter then the factory muffler, but flows a lot better.
Have a look at my profile photos, and you will see a photo of part of the muffler setup in my RX8 folder.

There's 3 rx8's being wrecked on trademe. One had a mazdaspeed twin which is now gone. Flick Rotorek a message. It's just a matter of either waiting for a decent one, or biting the bullet and buying.
The alternative to that is popping round to a few aftermarket shops or workshops to see if they have anything. Anything imported you're gonna be stung with duty and freight costs.
Yeah Rotaman's has a pretty good sound. But I still prefer mine Roger...

My car is turbocharged, so the battery has been moved to the boot, and the airbox has been modified to take the turbo inlet pipe, but I've tried to make it still look like a fairly stock setup. Go and buy G-force magazine, you will see an article on my car.
I must point out here that I have had a lot of help with the tuning from Brettus.
And Pottsy, you may like your muffler more, but mine is a little quieter now with the turbo system.
