When should I trade in/up
Hey guys I have a question,
I do about 4000k's per month roughly. And have had my 8 for about three months
In terms of depreciation , when would it be best to trade in my car and get a newer 8 or a Shinka?
My finance is 5yrs with a 40% residual.
Lemme know when you get the chance
Mike

Depends on what upgrades are made in the 06 model. Or what else is on the market
I considered it as mine came up to 2 y/o; will consider it much more carefully before 3 years, when warranty runs out. By then, I should have 80-90,000k

Looks like I'll only end up doing about 10K per year.
I'm gonna have a close look at trading in/up at the three year mark too. Something about this car makes me nervous about owning it for too long once the warranty runs out.
Guys doing high mileage should definitely consider getting rid of it before it hits the magic 100K mark if they want decent resale.

I do roughly 50000 kms pa, but i've got a 48 month/o residual - i will be upside down for about 2.5 to 3 years then sweet!!. Seriously though refinance mate. Go for a 5 year nil residual. If you're credit is good you should be able to get 7.15% through Esanda or BMW finance etc.
