I have MazdaSpeed sway bars and it is quite good. I think you can have any sway bar as long as they either have their own brushing or indicated that they use the original brushings.

Endlink is ok but changing is only when it comes with the sway bar.

Any sway is good. Just get one. You won't regret

I read somewhere that the stock sway bars could be flexed with your own hands (Taka, I think?) so anything should be a definite improvement.

I'm researching this mod at the moment as well and will probably get some Ric Shaw or Racing Beat ones.

Yes it was. I handed to my mechanics after I discovered the bendable sway. He took it over, gave it a test and swear at the Mazda's quality in Chinese... hehe. He never likes Mazda coz the design is never straight forward for his simple brain. Yet he is a good mechanics and quick on his job.

nj... anything will do mate. Anything - I try to discourage you to get expensive option. The only thing I against Ric Shaw one and other ones are red. My mechanics said get something either black, silver or grey. Blue and red will make insurance access think after market and they will blame it as the possible breach of the insurance policy.... they are a bunch of a-holes as always

whiteline

whiteline is on my list of options. probably prefer the non- adjustable swap as i got no idea what setting to adjust the stiffness anyway.

i got a quote whiteline front swap $180 , rear $180 + insulation $150. what u think about the quote?

$150 installation. That is highway robbery. It only take an hour so... $150/hour?

I installed my front and rear strut, front and rear sway AND front and rear pad for $220. He open at 7pm (for me afterwork) and finish at 10pm!

Now you are testing my memory... I know how to get there!

PMed you for details.

Sway bar - significant??? Oh my for $400 you can feel the cornering flatten significantly. I am so serious about this when I rolled out from the garage, I mentioned to my wife immediately that it was great.

Taka, Ezzy, help!
So is it Whiteline, Shaw or Mazdaspeed? I have to import one as there are none in NZ. (and have to do it!!)

Met with the local Rotary club today, R's, 2's,3's,4's, 7's (many), comso's, 323's,mx5 (amazing), and a toyota ute conversions. But no one has any idea on sways for an 8 or enyone local they would reccomend.

Have a mate in Tokyo who can make the MS one's a bit cheaper but it's 400? for whiteline, 500? for Shaw's and what about 900 for MS????

Appreciate your suggestions

Mike

Whatever you get... paint them silver or black for insurance purpose :p

Anything is better than stock. There are very little variations in quality for all of them. The 2 reasons that I go for MazdaSpeed is - 1) It definately fits. 2) it is silver (so I can fool the insurance co.)

If you have a mate over in Japan - he can either send you one or bring you one. They are around 30000 yen mark each. Autoexe, MazdaSpeed and revolution is available. only MS is silver in colour.

EDIT: Adjustment capability do me nothing, since even I have a hydraulic jack on the track, my hand is not long enough to go and adjust that with a spanner. I am just too lazy and leave it in one setting - what if it is a wrong setting :o I just brought a non adjustable one so my left brain hemisphere is not agruing with my right.

Ezzy,

I'm up for it, let me know when we get the royal decree. PS I'll check with the club guys here in NZ and see of anyone else wants a set.

Oh, and Ric doesn't think the endlinks need upgrading, he hasn't seen any problems with the stock ones after heavy track use...
