Vertical doors?

Hey guys and girls hows it going?

First time posting , just bought a 2004 Rx8 3 weeks ago , was browsing the other nite and saw an american Rx8 with vertical doors ! HAWT , does anyone know a place in the brisbane region that does something like this?

Would be good to meet up with some other Rx8 brisbanites, id love to see a scanalyser in action from what ive seen from reading this forum last night.

Anyways later

RjT,

Welcome. While I am not a fan of the Lambo doors, you might wish to PM Ciao who has this mod done to his car. I am unaware of anyone in Australia who does it specifically for the 8, but you can pick up kits on ebay, or there is this that a quick google found http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw...door_kits.html. You could then just get a local mechanic to fit it.

Cheers

Andrew

Its a massive job.

I had an endorsment so I didnt pay for them ,but having said that ,it puts the car in a different league .People dont really know what it is and I have experienced nothing but positive feedback for them ( except for a couple of people here ) .In the flesh ,it is something to behold .

verticle/lambo doors belongs to a lambo... and hope you have strong lower back ;-).

installation isnt all that difficult/exxy, provided you get the one made for the Rx8 with correct wiring plugs etc.

The practicality of the scissor doors is nearly ZERO but they sure look the piece.

Inclined to think that with the suicide rears opening up, egress/ingress wont be as much of an issue compared to say an RX-7.

How high do they get? I wonder if they'd be a problem in a multi-storey carpark...

I have a garage packed to the ceiling with stuff and have a 5 or so inch clearance on either side making for getting in and out seamless with my scissor doors .....Impossible with standard doors .

They are practical in this way and it also exposes the interior and custom sound system.....for show purposes .

Do you ever ask a babe why she wears stilettos?’Or the pain and suffering that goes toward making her legs look nicer and more extended

Don’t get me started on G strings ………….

Life is full of impracticalities …..and opinions are like ******** ...every bodies got one ....................do whatever turns you on.

Ciao
