I paid 21000 Yen for the item and 1000 Yen agent fee in Japan. I got japanparts as an agent. Hard to say what the shipping cost since I have other things at the same time.
I gave up looking for those items locally, they either does not know where to get them or simply charge too much as an agent fee.
So is it already in the japanparts website? I'll look it up there.. thanks Taka!! Would U be happy to tell us what "other things!!" U have bought at Japanparts?.. love to see what people r getting for their lovely 8s..

No it is not in there. You can email them for quotes.

I ordered all my MS parts from them. Also the MS gear ****, Autoexe wheel lock nuts, the NGK spark plugs that Fujita eng distributes, and the Odula intake being the mods that from them but not listed.

Maybe the Racing Beat ram air which is coming out shortly would be the best solution and the best addition in the revi box...
I must say it looks awful but it is certainly better that the stock "ram air-stocking" :D

I went with the Odula Ram duct. I have an RX-8 Auto w/ front mounted ATF cooler and wanted to keep the stock box.

The Auto's intake looks like the manual's above, but without the split and straight section opening. It has one section that curves to the right and sucks (warm) air from there.

The Odula duct fits very well into the stock box. I feel an improvement in the performance of this car since installing the Odula duct.

Old thread but great I have to admit.... I have done a lot more since then. .

I still think this RAM intake or a variation of this mod is highly recommended.

Hey guys, just a quick update since last year.

Recently I have some resonance noise around the air box area at 3000-4000 rpm, at any gear, only on throttle, it is gone around 4000rpm.

It sounds like resonance, and does not have it when I rev hard... like on the track.

Very strange, I thought it was the clutch, but the sounds does not occur when throttle is off at that rev range is strange. So I think it is the intake now, which make sense - some noise making at certain flow make the certain noise - these one is just more pronounced.

Just to share, I don't mind the noise whatsoever.

Taka, it's probably because you've removed the baffle plates out of your airbox ...

... I get a bit of resonance at about the same place ... but wouldn't be as loud as yours as I haven't got a cold air intake yet.

I have not touched it for a long time and it just suddenly made noise.

I have the intake for more than couple of years and never had that noise until recently.

Prob should check holes on my exhaust.
