Sydney Autosalon 18-19th March

Apolgies to Zoomby, I may be treading on his territory here.

Anyone planning on attending or participating in Autosalon? (Homebush Bay)

I've not been to the Sydney show before, done Melb and don't laugh the Adelaide equiv.

Any interest in a meet up?

Have tried to get on the website which seems to be "stressed" at this stage, might be possible to group buy tickets if the moderators allow it. Will check it out further today.

I might be in that Mike.

When you're checking out tickets, would you mind seeing if they charge for a 5 yr old and if so, how much - might take my son with me. He likes car shows - thinks they're a giant Hot Wheels display.

Dave, last time i had to pay for the entry was about $12, and kids under certain age gets in for free.....

i think the new price is $15 per person and you get a special price (about $25-ish) for a family pass (2 adults and 2 kids). checked the autosalon website, but no ticket info.

Just done the same as Ezz, bloody hopeless website, designed by graphic artists rather than web designers. Lots of "flash" and no ferkin substance.

All "show and shine", wasn't even any sound.!

I'll contact them tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback - sounds quite affordable.

Let me know when you're going guys and if you're buying tickets in advance.

i'd suggest to go either early-ish on both days.... get there around 10 to 10.30-ish, otherwise the que can get quite long at around lunch time (ie. triple lines around the buliding block....)

Is that when the doors open?

I'm happy to get there at opening time if it's earlier to beat the crush as well.

Dave was going to ring and check this morning but our damn "standard operating system" at work has an old flash version and i can't load the bloody site again. Will check tonight when I get home and see if it's published.
Apart from NOVA I've seen bugger all advertising. Not in any of the papers that I've seen and we get all three main ones here at work!
With you, lets beat down the doors, if my girls come (think i have at least one closet tappet head) it'll be McD's for breaky i suspect!

Let me know in due course where we should meet up and whether or not I need to buy tickets in advance.

Hmm, think we'll go early, huh Mike, and aim to get there at say 9.45am?

I can live without the doof doof brigade and one of us has the patience of a 5 year old (and I'm not talking about my son! ).

Yeah what's the go with parking there? Rev if we meet up on the way I'll follow you I guess.

Used to live in Gladesvillle so only ever caught the bus there. Or parked at Tooheys and caught the shuttle, usually picking the car up a couple of days later!! Ahh the good ol days!!

Meet up on the way is cool (maybe meet at a convenient Macca's hey, to feed the mini-terrorists) but as for parking I'm not sure either.

Whereabouts in Homebush Bay is it being held? Ezz, can you assist on this?

Thanks Ezz.

I've promised the mini-terrorist a ride in 'the rollercoaster' (his terminology) and was hoping we might fit in a short cruise afterwards to somewhere fun, so I'll be driving. Mike, if you want to carpool it and you are only taking one rugrat I'm happy to collect you en route.
