Guys

Ordered them on the Friday 4th of march i was told 10 to 12 working days to manufacture them , recieved call from Repco this morning only 3 have arrive today being 24th of March however not complete sets some non adjustable fronts without rears

We have no choice but to wait for the rest so no spirited driving over EASTER .

Whitelines swaybar manufacturing person apparently has been away from work sick

Sorry for the delay specially to mikeyr who is waiting patiently in Newzealand for his set to be delivered to him by his brother as a Easter present

cheers
michael

The Morrocan is in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Built by the same developer and i think managed by the same crowd is the Phoenician in Surf Parade in Broadbeach. Broadbeach is the next suburb heading south from Surfers. Whilst Broadbeach is the nicer area please note that there is a new high rise development happening across the road from the Phoenician called The Wave. If you do stay there try to get a room with beach views that is furthest away from the corner of Surf Pde and Victoria Ave. Another good apartment to stay at Broadbeach is a short walk from the main restaurant scene but still well located and called Belle Maison telephone overseas access code plus 7-55709200.

Will be good to meet up with you. Will hang on the sway bars until i hear from you.
My mobile phone number 0415 775 985

Cheers
Michael

Nice!! :D Are they hard to fit?

I'm going to the events o'neill drive day on Friday and thought that if the sways possibly come in tomorrow I might be able to put them on in time for the track.

Taka mentioned that the front bar is hard to do.

I will see you friday at Sandown. All booked for my first track day in my 8 :D

When we were installing my front Sway the most difficult part was getting it in place because of it's size. It's big. That was the only real drama with it though

Exclamation

Just looking at the workshop manual when installing or removing the front stabilizer bar. You should first remove the ABS wheel-speed sensor on the axle side and fix it to an appropriate place, because if you pull this sensor you may cause an open circuit in the wiring harness, if you pull it by mistake.

Remove these parts in this order and install in reverse order of removal, unfortuantely I have not got a scanner so I will not be able to post a picture of the diagram.

FRONT STABILIZER/SWAY BAR

The Order follows: (Removing) - Installing = reverse of order.

1. Radiator mount bracket
2. Stabilizer control link
3. Tie-rod end
4. Stabilizer bracket
5. Stabilizer bushing
6. Front Stabilizer

Stabilizer bracket installation Notes
1. Apply grease to the inner side of the stabilizer bushing.
2. Align the outer side of the stabilizer slide stopper with the stabilizer bushing.
3. Install the stabilizer bracket.

REAR STABILIZER/SWAY BAR

The Order follows: (Removing) - Installing = reverse of order.
1. Stabilizer control link
2. Stabilizer bracket
3. Bushing
4. Rear Stabilizer

Rear Stabilizer "Installation" Note
1. Install the rear stabilizer so that the identification mark is on the right side of the vehicle.

Bushing Installation Note
1. Install the bushings aligned with the stop flanges.

Stabilizer Control Link Installation Note
1. Install the stabilizer control link in the proper angle as shown in the figure, in this case it is, the control link should be placed around 10 degrees either side of the spring (NOT HORIZONTAL)

CAUTION:
1.Be sure to install the stabilizer control link in the proper position. If it is not installed properly, the stabilizer control link may interfere with peripheral components causing damage to eachother.

2. Once the vehicle is on the ground verify that the stabilizer control link at the correct angle.

Whiteline has instructions on the packaging for the installation use plenty of rubber grease which is provided by Whiteline. If you haven't done this sort of installation before I suggest to your mechanic, if you follow the correct steps in order of removal/installation as posted their shouldn't be any problems. I will be installing mine first thing Friday Morning if I come across any unexpected hickups I shall let you know.

As stated in another thread by ILIV48 :D Torquing should be 17- 23nM I am doing mine around 20nM , hopefully i wont brake anything

Dont forget to re adjust tighten swaybars after 100km .

Cheers
Michael

I think there will be 2 of us then. Not sure if Taka is coming to this one.

Luke mentioned that the hot lap car might be the the Targa Tasmania Lamborghini Gallardo. :D

No I am not going Friday

Cannot get out of work. I have not done any upgrade except for 2nd oil cooler since last track day anyway. But I am going to the next one for sure. I will hopefully have a few things done (inc. semislicks) by then.

Thanks Lock, I can't wait. Sounds like the install could be a job for someone with a little more mechanical know-how than me though.
