Squeeks rattles and Vibrations, what's going on??

Ok, so my car is a 2 month old ex-demo but jees, when driving over B grade roads I hear small "clinking" sounds coming from inside the dash, vibrations coming from the speedo binnacles and intermittent vibrations from the left side door trim. Obviously over a good road, the car is quiet but I don't expect to hear anything at all except for the induction the rotary. Is this the same experience with the rest of you?

No, can't say I have that problem.

Perhaps it's because it was a demo ... most of them have had the crap smacked out of them. I'd take it back to the dealer and get them to fix up the problems ... it's probably just the wire loom's come loose in your dash and the squeak you hear from the door is most likely the door trim coming lose from the doors being slammed. You may find a noise coming from the ceiling as well if that's the case.

At the end of the day though it is a car not a piece of surgical equipment.

Eventually the car will rattle etc etc.

I don't know my car squeaks and rattles like hell especially from the gearbox cabinet but instead of kicking up a storm about it I just turn up the music louder :P

Sure if i could fix it I would but being out of warranty, I'd rather not flip out about it.

If your'e under warranty, give them a go.

You're the first person off this forum who's mentioned that. Not many people pick it up you know. Fallout and Fallout 2 are my favourite games of all time!

Fallout 3's rumoured to be completed by 2010 ... I so hope the development company doesn't run out of money!

Well, if it's anything like Fallout 2 ... you'll probably be spending more time playing the game ...

... but I doubt it'll be turn based, they'll make the gameplay flow a lot more I imagine.

Hi Drewman, I have seen that post but it seemed like too much work. Just wanted to see what other peoples experience is like out there so I get an idea of what a "normal" rx-8 is supposed to sound like. Looks like I'll be taking it in and asking for the full anti-squeek makeover. Hope it helps, I'm kinda **** about squeeks and things.

Take it in and keep them at it until they narrow them down and fix them.

Most stealerships have become reasonably good at fixing the more common rattles by now.
