Spotted a hot black RX-8 tonight

No I am not taking this car to the track boys and girls. I am planning to keep this car for awhile (yes Taka - despite my track record of changing cars! But we will see about that) and I don't want to wreck it. Yet. I am actually planning to buy a track car in 6-12 months - something like an EVO and strip it out. Right now I am too busy to take time out for track days anyway.
Cromax, I reckon the 997 is faster on real roads, and certainly feel faster mostly due to shorter gearing. However on the track, the better balanced AMV8 will be faster. This is confirmed by the official track times for both cars, with the AMV8 some 10s faster on the north loop. As for sound, the Aston has one of the best sound of any cars, while the 997 sounded like a vacuum cleaner by comparison.
