special edition rx-8

hi there

my brother in law who is a mazda salesman told me last weekend that there will be a special edition rx-8 along the lines of the mx-5 special edition models around the end of the year. it will have beige leather seating and will have the sunroof.

i think the price will be a few thousand more than the leather pack.

cheers

mike

It looks great, but good luck trying to keep the interior clean.

Sunroof would be good

beige = ugg!

Unfortunately no more car expenditure for me so sunroof will have to wait.

yeah, y tf does mazda do this.....give you a limited edition ...sunroof ....then beige ....why cant they just be normal.....its like you can 97% of an attainable 100% (o/s models) then when you request something they dont give you 100% but 97% in a different form.... i dont kno....must come down to a certain "marketing/cost cutting/most profit/ keep every one happy not just young male thing" issue, which i cant figure

but never the less sunroof is good, what about ext. colour...??

We won't be seeing that thing here. It's a shocker, let the Yanks keep it. Mazda Australia won't be able to sell it, so it won't come.

I know a guy in the trade who refers to that interior colour as "90 day beige"......any car with that colour will sit on the lot for ninety days! That's one reason it won't land here, it would be too hard to move that stock.

I can't recall a car with that interior since the Ford LTD of 1976 . Errrk, chrome inserts in the headrests ferchristsakes...[shiver]

Gomez :D .

You just hate dead cow Gomez...... whether it be black, red or beige.

BTW, I agree with the "90 day beige" since after that time, you'll be left with a light brown interior.

It WAS hard, but I didn't say the L word The ONLY feature I'd want off that car on mine would be the suspension changes. I reckon my car could be tightened up 10 percent...maybe.

Apologies. I'm very judgemental, I know. I got 100 percent for judgement when I did the Briggs-Meyer test :o . Made my jury service easy!

I hate chrome, too. :D . It's okay on old Mustangs.....

Easy to rectify that one Gomez.... just change your springs.

Daz, I'd love to think I played a part in killing off the importation of this thing, as I think it will devalue the brand. People are going to laugh at this pimp-mobile. I have started a poll...Vote Here.

Hey Gomez

I particulary dont like beige interiors ether..you only have to look at them and they get dirty. I was most unhappy when I couldn't get a black interior for my mazda 6 wagon, you can only buy them in the classic version which is grey.
I just hope they bring out Radiant Ebony as an option for the RX8 as it is a very nice colour.

Regards Daz
