Set of Coils

Hey people, Ive suffered the coil death problem and dont particularly want the stealerships charging me $1200 to fix it, does anyone in the Brisbane area have a set lying around? OR someone that can send via overnight delivery? Ive just moved house also so dont have internet just yet which makes it hard checking this thread.

If anyone could help me out my mobile number is 0401 513 390.

Thanks for the offer dude but ended up getting them and some new leads from Montgomery Mazda in the states, I cant beleive the money they want for them over here, they all laugh when I said Im getting them for just over $30 each after telling me $160.

The car is about to hit 70 000kms.

G'day from DMRH

Here is a good thread (biased opinion) on purchasing new coils & installing them when you are ready.

>>> DIY coil thread <<<

It was lurking here in the Oz section but a moderator wanted to share it around & its been placed into the DIY section for all to see.

Hey DMRH, yeah saw that thread a few months ago and thats how I knew my coils where GONE! Yesterday the parts arrived and I installed them last night, and its lovely the responsiveness and accerleration afterwards, not quite as good as I thought it might be but good otherwise.

The funniest thing is the responses from people when I say I can get them for about $30-35, and it is ridiculous to think that they charge us that amount for something that is so simple and not expensive to them, and a known problem!!!.

Yup, thats the thing about the **** retards at Mazda Australia. They just love to insult you with that pricing for the rotary guys.

US$027 or AU$160 is an easy choice.

The only way the **** retards can get the message is when they see no one is dumb enough to pay for them here in Oz & they start to read the feedback to learn we are smarter than they expected.

For that kind of money I'd upgrade to the Mazport ignition system! http://www.mazsport.net/store/index....t_detail&p=140 https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/just-installed-mazsport-ignition-solution-140146/

sorry RjT - I didn't see this before I went away, otherwise I'd have organised a part swap with you from my organ donor bank of coils.

Glad to see you got back on the road okay.
