Of course you have to cater for the extremes in personal taste. I have no problem with the fact that some people like to drive a car that looks as though it's been carved from a huge chunk of cheese.

But!!! How would you like to drive a real RED blooded sports car?

What is it with white? Methinks this thread is inhabited by closet Volvo drivers. Now THERE'S a car that looks good in white (or, for the more sporting owner, YELLOW)

Seems quite a few must have escaped the factory in gloss undercoat. :D

Mazda should really pick up the QA game!

ha!

actually.. I was killing time reading more of the historical posts before I jumped in the car and went for a fang..

Iv'e been trying to find another driver for company, but it seems everyone's in for the night, working 36 hour days [ Kev ] etc so it looks like it's just me and Timo Mass ( thanks to Fat Boy Slim ).

Yea.. I was bored.. but I figured bit shifting was a little to "out there" for the general population - my mistake ;-P

Rob,

that fast drive home must have forced too much blood to the back of your brain * grin * - Titanium is a nice color, I'll grant you that.. but.. mazda already made it clear which color won the war..

Winning Blue !!

The name says it all..

Dez ...

We all know that the RX8 colour names in some way relate to the project team members in the Mazda shop - a traditional tribute given to the development team at Japanese factories.

This tradition has given us such sesational names as PAJERO !

Sadly the mazda company's mother tongue is not english ... however they are fortunate that their spelling error is in fact a legitimate word ...

The blue colour was nominated in honour of Hiroshi who was in the design team from day 1. Hiroshi was in charge of the interior and the team awarded him a colour name due to the sensational outcome. Ironic fate however meant that Hiroshi never got to sit in the interior of the car as he is a large gentleman, in fact he was a former SUMO. What this meant however was that Hiroshi was always complaining about things ..

the word they were is fact trying to correctly spell is WHINING BLUE in tribute to Hiroshi's daily complaining ...

Maybe next time I'll explain how the development teams only female engineer, was awarded the titanium colour!

Rob

LOL,

So the original factory nipple port sunroof for the titanium car never made it out of japan ... along with it being the only colour to be shipped with a pre installed bra ...

Mazda Artarmon has advertised a yellow demo. 8 in the SMH for the last 2 week-ends, at a very reasonable $61k (from memory.)
Methinks in any other colour it would have been snapped up at that price, unless it is not a leather pack

Maybe if they dressed it up with white side skirts and air dams it'd appeal to someone that loves fried eggs!

Am wondering how L&L can resist not buying another one -- and cornering the market :D

Gee Timbo. As a matter of fact I was toying around with the idea of cornering the market on yellow cars.

Anyway read this it will put a smile on your face.

Red.... Yellow... they're both good colours, so why argue....

Of course yellow does suit some models just that LITTLE bit better. :p

We're thinking of breeding from them, so put your hand up if you're interested in an orange pup....

Nice pics bvd only a few in the know realize the true power of the yellow .

My wifes car is the blue found on the Honda JAZZ she gets 6.5 ltrs per 100 km . if only our rotaries got near this figure it would be heaven .

L&L: broken link !?

BVD: we've also considered breeding our 323 and 8, but I figured a green 323 with a blue 8 might end up with a color even god would have to throw back!

++dez;

ps: if my 8 and my wife's 323 did breed, the 323 would have a **** of a time passing the Tribute that would result! ( planned upgrade for the 323 after xmas )
