For Sale: Winning Blue RX8, Sydney

My Winning Blue RX8 is for sale.
Very good showroom condition, 3,500kms, leather pack, illuminated gearknobs and brand new RX8 mats.

Regretful sale, my new job is at Penrith, not a good idea to drive my RX8 since I live in Kensington.

I might keep the car if I do not get a reasonable offer. :D (Makes my decision much easier.)

I will consider any offer above $60,000

Cheers,
Winning

PS: please moderators do not remove this post to RX8's for sale/wanted section.

damn, I would have loved to check yours one out coz I really like Blue one (except the none two tone interior -_- )
but I've signed on a new red one last Sunday coz they could deliver immediately.. =(
sounds like a good offer, good luck with sale. I am sure there will be lot of prospective buyers coz blue is quite rare and the colour just looks awesome =)

Can you answer a few questions?

Have you had any aftermarket car care done? Windows Tinted? Upholstery protection? Paint Protection?

Car alarm or any other extras not listed other than the illuminated gear stick and the mats?

Is the car financed/leased or otherwise encumbered?

Amount of registration remaining (if I buy I would need to re-register for QLD and reclaim remaining rego from NSW).

Got any pictures?

Aftermarket car care; yes, professional polished the car once.

Windows Tinted; no, don't like window tinting, but I can organise a good one if you are interested.

Upholstery protection and paint protection; no, I don't feel the need for them since according to history, I never keep a car more than three years.

Car alarm; no, I have bad experience with my Sti car alarm. People tend to do something stupid when the alarm goes off.

The car is not financed.

Registration till end of September.

Pictures, :D

Now, it is seriously for sale. The car is now 4,500kms, still in a very immaculate like new condition. $60,000 o.n.o. Illuminated gearknobs and RX8 mats. I will buy the new owner a brand new mats. Nothing beats a brand new set of mats.

Michael... don't try to make me like a little puff. I just think it is cool to have an 8 with an illuminated gear ****.

Choppy ... you are too harsh. If I were selling my car, I would sell my car in the low 60s as well.. what is wrong with that? It is a leather pack for god sake... we pay nearly $70k for that

He can sell it for whatever he wants... Its a very good price i would of paid 80K for the 8 if it was that much so dont get me wrong..

But leather pack new is about 67K or around 57k before taxs on road costs etc. The price is probably negotiable anyway

Phillip

Choppy is right.... I have known some people to be able to get the 8 Leather pack, with just about all the trimmings... well it would have come to about 72K drive away.... for 60K inc GST drive away.
Some dealers have been know to do fleet discounts on the 8 even though it's not offcially on offer for fleet discounts from Mazda.

Well it is true that some people buying the leather pack for $65K ... I guess the state duty and stuff come with it...

Leather pack is worthwhile for me anyway: Leather, electric seat, xenon light, Bose system, metal foot pedal and fog lights. I think it worth the $7K extra

Winning,

keep it at that price but leave it as negotiable.. Most people on the forum have a RX8 already have you tried to sell it on the trading post or back to your mazda dealer?

Taka, I dont like leather and i could do without the electric seat as mostly i only drive the car anyway.. The base pack comes with BOSE stereo also just less speakers but then again its still loud enough for me (i have a history of big audio builds in my cars). I saved myself money from Insurence and the Car because i did not want the Leather pack.

Regards
Phillip

Choppy,
It is already in the Trading Post. I might try to bring it back to my dealer sometimes this week. I doubt they will give a fair price though

I think it would be harder to sell than the STI mate so good luck I will keep my ears open to anyone that might mention they want one.

Interesting comment. Why so? I accept people may be averse to the rotary engine if they have memories of the early ones, but don't think it would be an issue for anyone under 40.

IMHO, the RX-8 is much more liveable than an STI (that's not saying I don't like the STI, but rather, for example, that I have heard quite conservative people admire my car who would not go near an STI).

Still, the market will decide

Dude, you've got buckley's chance of offloading secondhand anywhere around $60k...

I was onroad for $63k with about $3k of accessories included, would take a punt and say you'll get around $55k second hand private sale despite the relatively low kms.

Redbook.com.au puts it at $52,600 to $59,200 for a 2004 Leatherpack manual second hand.

Most of the listings in Drive.com.au are in the mid $50's http://www.drive.com.au/used/search/...&m=MAZDA%7cRX8

Timbo,

Our ethnic cousins in Sydney pick the STI's over most things on the street. :D

4 Wheel Drive and that Special 5 letter word Turbo is a turn on for most.

Then you have your hard core rally fans that just love them too.

The market is bigger for the WRX. The car is cheaper and same price t insure as the RX8 if your my age.

Regards
Phillip

:)

you could always use redbook as a bit of a guide

2003 MAZDA RX8
Coupe plus Leather Trim 4dr Man 6sp 1.3i (July onwards)
average kms 14,000 - 17,000

        2004 MAZDA RX8
Coupe plus Leather Trim 4dr Man 6sp 1.3i
