Greetings All,

We have just spent the last 2 nights in Parramatta and if you don't have your (extra large) wheels chromed and an exhaust that sounds like a jet taking off then you are not trying !! And all of this in a Bits-Are-Shitty Lancer or old Commodore....or Imprezza.

But my point is that parked on the Lennox Bridge on Church St late on Friday night was a black RX-8 with rear spoiler and - gasp - yellow and black number plates....shame on the dealer who let that happen !

Then at 4 pm today at the same spot a red one went by while ours was locked away in the underground car park of the hotel we were staying in for another hour then it was also out and about getting stared at. Must be the colour (Blue) - my work friend says his black one doesn't get noticed that much in Sydney.

The Mazda dealer just to the north of Parramatta on Church St has a red manual with plated on it in the showroom so what are you waiting for ?

Some trivian for you - the Mazda 3 models all have their fuel caps on the drivers' side - and the rest of Mazda's models have it on the passenger's side - the salesman didn't know why either...

Regards
Jeffneil

Me again !

Saw a winning blue heading west on the Great Western Hwy east of Hawkesbury Road in the Parramatta area at 1pm today.

It had NSW premium plates on it that I think started with NAD or similar.

Only the 2nd winning blue I've seen on the road - apart from ours that is !

Red ones everywhere.

Spotted - red one leaving car park where I park for work yesterday afternoon - with black and white number plates very similar to mine. I was loading my gear into the back of mine as you passed.

This morning - Albion overpass again - I'm not sure if it is the same car as the other morning - but if it wasn't it had very similar plates.

Hehehe - that would be those automagics that make more power up until their lower redline

Cheers,
Hymee.

Nice obs sco.

The only reason they make less power is they don't rev as much. But the power they make at each RPM point compared to the same RPM as the 6 port - the 4-ports make more. Once you get to the 6-ports opening, that is what lets them breath and hence rev more. The faster RPM therefore makes more power.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Hey I thought RX8's were rare in Australia. First few minutes in Perth a yellow with strakes and spoilers drives past cafe Neo on victoria, and a bit later a red with fuel cap up in Kings park. Hope to see some more on my travels, now going down the west coast. I'll be the one waving the UK owners club key ring - although you probably wont know what that is!

Cheers
---Dave

Greetings All,

Saw a Titanium Grey in Alexandria about 1 pm today - parked. It had a spoiler and the NSW premium plates '3 PUTT' - must be a golf thing.

I work with ROGERM and will tell him you saw him !!

I told him to wash his wheels as they are looking a bit black from brake dust and doesn't that stuff damage the wheels eventually if it is left on?

Regards
Jeffneil
