Rx8 Aust. Bolt Ons
Pics please, dyno results etc. We are all into information sharing here.
And BTW, how 'bout you find the caps-lock on your keyboard and turn it off
How bad is the front brake kit anyway?
Cheers,
Hymee.
PS - the name Rick Shaw does ring a bell to me in racing circles - coincidence?

Hymee,
My thinking re the front brakes also. If I was going
to change something last, the brakes would probably
be it. The thing stops extremely well, and the ABS is
no fuss hero tech.

thanks guys for welcoming me onboard. EMACKs sway bars work realy well, i have road tested them but noy on the track. As always time is a problem and so things happen slowly with developments. I would like to have a track day in Sydney, Wakefield Park , if enough RX8 owners wanted to.
Yes the std brakes are good but a bigger kit option like the Nissan Z350 "track pack" i thought would be a good idea.
The rear muffler i have developed is nice and quiet but flows very well giving us an increase in performance on the dyno, it sits in the std place and looks as the std one does.
Any one in Sydney want to have a road drive day on a weekend ?

Speaking on computers, lets change the subject ( I wrestle with them all day) back to oil.
Ric : since you work on Rotaries for a living , what is your stance on synthetic vs. mineral oil? I'm using Pennzoil purebase mineral. Some people on this list (and some Mazda dealers) are using synthetics like Mobil 1. Rotary Heaven in SA swears by Amzoil 0w-30 synthetic for rotaries. ?

Dont let Ric Shaw get away with such modesty (mechanic/ race driver). If as I assume , he is THE Rick Shaw, he is an absolute guru of perfomance rotary engineering as attested by his customers and his racing results.
I for one will be paying attention to hsi technical / perfomance posts!
