RX-8's Now Even Cheaper To Buy (Sat Nav Now An Option)

Well it looks like all RX-8's except the Basic model have decreased in price?
Only Slightly ($1000-$1800), the Basic has gone up by a few thousand dollars though!

http://www.mazda.com.au/Models/Curre...-8/Prices.aspx

Also Sat Nav (with"Where is it" software) is now available in the Luxury Only from $3355.00.

I looked at a VR Luxury Auto a few weeks ago with Sat Nav which is located where the ROUND Look Stereo system and switches were.

The 6 stacker CD player is replaced with a Single Disc Only Unit.

Manual $50,430 (Was $47k Approx)
Luxury $56,230
GT $58,545
Luxury Automatic $58,084

Options

Satellite Navigation - Automatic - $3,640 -
Satellite Navigation - Manual - $3,355 -

Don't forget dealer discount to attract you to buy any car at the moment. I think it is hard to find buyer in this climate.

Why didn't they just adopt the same satellite navigation system they used in the european market?

Buy the Sat Nav but when it becomes fauty you'll lose for the whole car to get it fixed and then when the technology changes in the next couple of years...you're stuck with it. If you spent just a $1,000 you would get you a great portable Sat Nav, bring it with you in a portable situation or transfer it to another car....my 2 c worth.

I agree. they are dirt cheep aftermarket these days. I only use one for city trips maybe 2-3 times a year that's when I take it out of the cupboard and stick it to the windscreen. I don't think it cost over $500 a year or two ago. until the car company throws it in with the purchase, they are dreaming I'm paying an extra $2000+ to have one in the dash

And seriously, the Sat Nav spoils the Dash Board as they don't use the 'pop up' like the Series I OS Models.

yeah the Americans get some cool pop-up dash bits. I was thinking of buying one to hide my gauges.
