RX-8 2008 Nats. at Lakeside reaceway Brisbane QLD.

OK guys we have the track details ironed out. 4th Oct 2008 is a done deal.

Still working on a few extra things like possibly getting Mazda AU on board, if not at least lining up a local dealer to bring a new 09 model for us to ogle over.
Track pics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f3yVGSnOjY&NR=1
http://youtube.com/watch?v=BfjVEln3f7U&fmt=18

Cost we are going to set it at $285.00 a head.
This is bare cost of track hire and to run the event and is based on getting 25 people on board.

If we get a larger turn out then we will use any extra funds to try and add some goodies to the mix like T-shirts, caps etc. If not and we only get 25 we still have a great day running around a historic race track that some of the Aussie greats have raced on.

So far those that have said they are coming.

If you know anyone that has an 8 get them on board. If your name is not on the list and you are certain to go let me know.
chrx8er has been kind enough to offer his place for a Sat night bonfire and 3 course spit roast meal for roughly $15-$20 per head. That will be an optional extra.

Still lining up the accommodation places but $70.00 to $180.00 per night is the expected price ranges, depending of course on how luxury you want to stay.

We will need deposits of $100.00 by 25-June balance by 1 Sept.
More details on that will be in the sign up form I am working on and will post Monday.
I am taking a drive to Lakeside Sunday to have a look around and will take some photos to post plus that will allow me to outline where and what better in the official entry form.

We need 25 commits to make this happen at this price.
If we do not get enough sign ups by June 30 then all deposits will be refunded and the event called as July 1 is the drop dead date on our track money.

Lets go guys and make this happen.

Monte

There may be some accommodation along Anzac Avenue that may be suitable. You will also find that Finnigans on Anzac Avenue should be able to set aside and area for us for group dinner/presentations.

I think what Otto was trying to say in that long-winded German was..."Nice jugs!"

Gawd! It's the Battle of Britain all over again...

Take cover!!!

I think we should drag it back on topic though kiddiewinks.

Monte and the team are currently finalising the entry form, so watch this space for download instructions. A grey nurse deposit will be required by 25 June to secure your place (and secure the track booking), so act quickly once the form is available to avoid disappointment...

The response has been amazing guys. We are not far from out target of 25 entrants. I imagine there will be a limit to the number we can cater for as if we end with too many entrants then track time will be limited.

Don't worry Revolver, I will be amongst the first to get my place booked!!

92 decibels is a fairly though noise restriction. my last 4cyl failed the 94db registration test, although it was a dodgy method they used. 8 meters away will make it easier to pass although some exhausts may have still have a problem with it.

I think we should be ok though as the RX8's are barely breathing at 5k rpm. Mine is loud around redline but not nearly around 92dbs at 5k rpm.I hope anyway..

I talked to the guy that does the readings last Sunday and he said only 3 cars have been pulled due to noise problems, they were all were running open headers. They take the reading as we pass by on the straight area on each side of the track. Shift up into 5 or 6th as we pass the test area and you will be clear. Once you pass then race it like you stole in it 3rd or 4th on the straight and you will be good.

Plus if you are street legal you should have no problems on the track.

Got your deposit Danny.

Thanks
