Is that the key we're going to get for all the pre-order customer?
As what the letter say:
" Before you take delivery of your RX-8, we will be providing you with a limited edition rotary key, which will be colour-coded to match your RX-8. This key will even start your RX-8 once it has been cut and coded specifically to your sports car. "

And also are we getting one or 2 of this rotary key???

 

yep thats the key but you need a car to use it .

 

...and do you think it will end up being colour coded plastic with a chrome rotary emblem, or black plastic with a colour coded rotary emblem ?

Yeah, first shipment, hence no colour choice

Offical public launch is 1st August, so first shipment cars will be available around that time. Second shipment is being built in July, so expect delivery around Sept sometime.

 

I am having a second shipment with colour choice... what colour are you allocated??? If they allocated a yellow to me then I will kill myself :D

 

Don't go doing that now I had the option of going second shipment with any colour/interior combination I wanted... but I didn't want to wait probably another 6-8 weeks for a Titanium one, so I'm going to get the black one... pending the test drive of course :D

 

To me getting the colour right is the most important thing even if I had to wait.

Where do you test drive. Anyone know where do we have it in Melbourne? Sandown?

 

I'm from Canberra, but couldn't get any from here, so found one elsewhere.

Was told there will be "local" track sessions for the pre-order customers, so for me, it'll probably be Wakefield Pk in Goulburn I guess.

I think the black looks great, just worried about keeping it clean and new looking.
