Rezoomification

I've just had the 8 visit the dealer for the 20,000 service.

In addition to the service, I'd asked for the flash to be upgraded, the gear **** to be replaced and a tyre rotation and wheel alignment/ balance.

Given that I understand that new oil and gear ***** don't make a real change, the flash has made a real difference.

The car feels markedly more urgent in the mid range .... I love it!!!!!

I'm sure a much more technically minded person (Good morning Hymee!!) can explain what changes the new flash has delivered but for those of you contemplating a service - All I did was complain about the fuel economy and the flash upgrade was a free warranty item!

And for those Sydney siders who are struggling to keep their cars washed (water restrictions in force) John Newell at Waterloo did a full wash , in and outside, for free too!!

Rob

PS - I also purchased an additional 5 litres of oil for $45..

Yes, there's more zoom - had mine done on friday!

Hadn't driven in much for about 4 months, then have been back at the wheel over the last 2 weeks (hence the tune up).

Finally got my exhaust finishers fitted (don't bother...) and front air dam fitted (do bother!) too.

Yeah i had mine done last tuesday.. Very nippy indeed. Was for my ten k service.

Rockdale Mazda also gave my car a full wash inside out even did the Rims very well. I even got the 5% discount on the already very very good price. Also not to mention a courtesy car Mazda2

I'm having mine serviced today for the 30k. When I checked in I was informed that as of Firday the warranty system noted there was a PCM Upgrade available and it was going to be performed on my car.

Interesting news indeed. I did not hang around, as I was too keen to get in the '2 courtesy car.

I suspect that when I had the "G" done, it was not "logged" as I didn't officially have my car serviced the day we upgraded it. Hence the warranty system thinks my car is out of date. Intersting that I didn't have to ask. It was automatic, and when I started to query about it, she said "It is free as it is a warranty thing". I wasn't even going to ask that - I just wanted to find out what sort of things it was suposed to fix. She said that would be written on the workshop report.

I will advise. Perhaps L&L needs to save up another $66.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I was told by my Mazda Service guy that the updates should be free.. As when a customer comes in and their car is not updated its a warranty issue, thus when they update the mazda service bills Mazda Australia for it.

If a service department is charging you extra your getting ripped off.

Premature eFlashulation

Sorry - No "H" Flash. Car was alread up-to-date, just the "system" didn't know about it as was done without all the paperwork.

Just goes to show - the system works.

BTW - I was told the current flash was to improve performance. That certainly seems to be most ppl's real-life impressions.

Cheers,
Hymee.
