I have noticed over the last few days a rattling sound coming from the back of the car. Upon investigation i think it may be the rear windscreen.

Has anyone heard of one being loose before? I did a quick search of the forum but couldn't find anything.

If it is indeed the windscreen i'm not sure how they would fix this. I presume they would have to take the windscreen out and set it back in.

i had teh same problem...it had to be remounted (the window) in my case b/c it wasn't sealing correctly (it's a 3 piece seal).

probable was a lill off at teh factory and going threw a winter and summer (heating and cooling) got it so it was making noise. it was done under warrenty in my case :D good luck

Do you have to tap on the glass to see if it is coming from there??

Haven't really tested it as i don't want it breaking and then having Mazda blame me.

I think its still sealing as i can't hear any air getting through. It just rattles. You know the noise you sometimes get on old bus windows when the glass is moving in the frames. I notice it mainly over bumps and can't think of anything else it could be other than the windscreen.

Anyway its due for its 15K service in the next few weeks so i'll get them to sort it out.

maybe the bolt(s) came lose.
there are one 10mm bolt each side hold it in (as well as two piece seals)
