Pewter RX-8!
Hi Guys.....just scored one of these. Got it off ebay, here in Melbourne. I have just found it on the Mazdaspeed website as a discontinued item (that's where I got these photos). Turns out its a limited edition paperweight produced by Mazda for the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. That explains why I'd never seen one before. Anyone else have one? It's 1/64 scale. Just gotta find a way to keep it away from the kids!
Cheers,
Gomez.

IIRC dealers received some of those sized as keychains..
It will take some networking but I'll see if I can dig some up.

Clyde, I gather from the MS website that 250 of these things were made. Mine has SN 92 stamped underneath. You reckon they made keychains out of them too, eh?

I'm sure they were not made of pewter. They were approx 1.5 inches long and had a chain on one end..
I'll see if I can dig one up. Maybe some disinterested parts junky stuck one under the counter.
