Ordered my handling upgrades today.

Finally ordered my handling upgrades today. A little bit of a mixing of brands but has all the properties I was looking for.

Ordered a set of King springs as these offered the ride height I was looking for as well as the ride quality. I have to say after driving a couple 8's with the king springs I do like the way the car feels with them, rides really well and looks good.

To compliment the springs I also ordered the front & back Whiteline Swaybars (non adjustable) although there is a 2 week wait on these.

The great thing is in reality it is going to cost very little for the improvement these items will make. The swaybars cost $112.00 each and the King Springs $240 for all 4. So all up it's costing just $464.00 and someone I know who does suspension setups for race teams owes me a favour so will install all of it for free! :D

Good choices on these mod.

You will be happy with it.

Time to move home *next year *^^*

wildcard,
the sway bars are already in production and are ready for the public. its the springs they are still R&D'ing

ILIV48 must be getting a special special rate from whiteline. the retail for non-adjustable is $183 each, and his $112 each is even batter than our proposed group buy price.
maybe we should get ILIV48 to hook us up hey
he is even getting a great deal for the springs. :D

I have done a lot of design work in the car industry over the last 10 years ranging from HSV, Holden, Toyota to even Volvo, and a heck of a lot more for the aftermarket performance industry. So every now & then I am lucky enough to call in an old favour and get an extra special price on things for myself.

I can always ask the question.

My problem will be the delivery will have to be to one location (that of who is doing me the favour in getting them). From there I have no way of distributing them. I leave home for work each morning at 6am and don't get home until 8-8.30pm in the evenings. I would need a volunteer who could pick them up from Richmond (Melbourne) between normal business hours Monday to Friday and then organise to have them sent out to the interstate people. This part I simply do not have the time to organise.

If someone here can do this I certainly can try and get everyone a similiar price plus of course the postage costs for whoever can organise the delivery!

Cheers

Thats not a problem if you can get a good price on them i am sure one of the forum members in Melbourne would help out in the distribution process , if no one volunteers i have my brother in Melbourne in Hoddle st Richmond he owns ILANA CAR SEAT COVERS , if they are delivered to him he can re -organise distribution at a good price as he supplies retailers trughout Australia , and constantly sends goods interstate and overseas .

So you concentrate on getting a good deal we will take care of distribution .
Let us know if your successful .

Heck you do work long hours reminds me of when i had my own bussiness in Melbourne i have only worked at enjoying myself for the last 10 years , i know its hard but someone has to do it.

cheers

At those prices I would be keen on adding my name to the list as well.

A lowered car does look cool although I am not sure about the lowering springs as I manage to occassionally scrape the bottom on stock form so I would not like to do more damage.

Yeah that I do. It does have it's benefits though. Having grown tired of the design work in the car industry and it's many ********* I took a job in setting up and running/Art Directing a Design Studio for a multinational that mainly deals with the big Hollywood Studio's.

So my last few years has been spent working on Shrek 2, Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Star Wars Episode 3, Matrix to name a few. Long hours at times but also a lot of fun, and I get to see all the movies long before everyone alse. Besides that the big studio's are not shy in saying thankyou with some pretty lavish gifts! :D

Now that the Studio is pretty much fully set up and running smoothly I am slowly starting to cut my hours down and enjoy life a little bit more. The RX8 was actually the first part of that plan :D :D

OK guys,

I just spoke with my contact who said he should be able to arrange a better deal than you are already getting on the Sway Bars. He does not think he will get it at the same as my price as he told his friend at whiteline it was for himself to give as a birthday present. My price for the non adjustables was $112 plus shipping. It shouldn't be much more than that though he thought!

He will call Whiteline on Monday to get the cost of the adjustables as well as a price for shipping.

He can also drop all the swaybars off to one point in Richmond (local to himself) so Lock & Load if your brother is willing he can deliver them to him.

Of coarse for those interstate there will be a charge from whoever is distributing it for the shipment costs to you.

So I will need to know quantities by Monday so as he can get the best price he can.

Hey guys I am back!

Was rather busy for the last couple of months. I had CUSCO sway bar done for AUS$500 front and rear included installation. Had Brambo caliper and DBA Rotor upgraded for the front brakes for AUS$2K, price include labour and Steel line. and I have a start button to replace the lighter since I don't smoke. Thats all I did so far.

Taka! Are you coming to HK?

Oh!...I am over HK at the moment and the Mod were done over there. My Brake upgrade is not a kit replacement. The DBA rotor is from E46 - BMW M3, and the 4 pot caliper is off the shell from Brembo. I did screw up a bit as the Rotor off set is too close to the suspension and I need to shave off bit of a meat from the struct! (around 2mm deep). So I won't suggest to do this mod.
