Okay NSW guys...

Missy K seems to have a lift from EZZY (let us know if that is no longer so), but Taka (and partner), Jambos and I (xxup) are looking for pick up on Sunday morning and drop off (preferably at the airport, but somewhere that can be accessed by taxi will also be good enough too...)

Taka (and partner) is booked in at the Pacific Hotel in George Street.. Doonson was their last great hope, but rumour is that he has been abducted by little green persons...

Jambos and I have not booked accommodation yet as we are going to find a place that is easy for our ride/s to access... (We could suffer the Pacific Hotel I suppose.. ) But if we don't get an offer soon, then the pick up point will be the fountain in Hyde park!

Thumbs are out, trousers are above the knees and free petrol is offered (by me to my lift! - the others can advertise their own queue jumping free offers)..

Sheesh, there's what? A dozen or more guys going from Sydney? Surely one of them is prepared to pick up our fellow Qld members? Not directed at you Eric - you're already pulling your weight by collecting Kalli (and her Mum).

As I said to Waldo, I won't know if I can come for sure until a day or so out. If I'm coming I'll be happy to collect them but they need a rock solid fallback in case I can't make it.

Mind you, I did suggest they rent a Fazza for the day (and not let anyone else have a go)!

i'd love to help but my car will have the gf and mates! if mates cancel out, and there are still people who need a ride, ill be more than happy to pick them up.. (im not that far from the city, maybe 30-40 minutes tops?)

Hello All

I have been busy with work and being a part time tour guide, having my cousin from o/seas over .

Anyway its looking like the biggest RX8 Cruise to date in Australia , so it will be quite an awsum day. Its also great to hear that you guys and Kall have worked together in arranging rides for our interstate counterparts. I have also just checked with Doonie and have confirmed he will be picking up Taka .

Questions have been raised as to what we will be eating for lunch. I had originally planned to have BBQ at Worornora Dam, but that was before our plans changed so that we could meet the Canberra Members also. In saying this where we will end up in Wollongong, there are no BBQ's facilitys for visitors to use unfortunately. So unless someone brings a BBQ along, that sort of cuts that out of the equation. There are a couple of food shops not that far away(walking distance) and there is also a Macca's/KFC/Pizza Haven/Hungry Jacks (i think) only a short drive away . If you guys would like to bring some beverages as well you are more than welcome to, so just bring your esky and drinkies .

With only 13 days to go b4 the biggest RX8 Cruise ever to be held in Australia, I am already counting the days so make sure u don't miss out. And im also looking 4ward to catching up with a you all and checking out new mods as per usual hehe and meeting up with our interstaters .

13days and counting.................................... how could u miss this???????

there is an ice cream shop but is a 5-10min drive, otherwise NO ice cream 4u

well there be enough space for cars at the first meet up point at the Caltex servo? we had 5 cars last time and i had to park near the entry, cos the park bays were full.
should we go to another bigger meeting point?

bbq will be a hassle and a half... who is going to carry meat/drinks/bread/sauces etc?
there is a fishing and chips shop at the gong, and they do serve half decent food there. why dont we do that, provided we can get some hald decent parking spaces? there will be a car show that day at the gong, not sure exactly where it is, so parking maybe a problem at the light house...

or maybe we can book tables at Chilli's (the one at the round about, next to maccas).... but we need to know the numbers.....

Yes mate there will be enough space at this servo, as there is a few different parking bays within this servo(not sure if u noticed). And Its is too late to chop and change plans now (don;'t want to confuse any1) . Also another reason is that from this location we only have to travel on 2 roads before we reach Woronora Dam, so the group will not be lost or separated along the way (eg. due to traffic etc). From Woronora Dam thru to Wollongong there are only a few traffic lights, so it should not cause to much of a problem travelling thru in high numbers. So if u want the quick answer No , sowy .

I also agree that BBQ will be a hassle, and that fish and chip shop is the same one im talking about i think. And I think this would be the best option as booking Chillis wouldn't be a problem, finding 20+ parking spots in there carpark would be . Anyway I am happy to do whatever, as long as I eat . .

What car show?? Aus Rotary is having a car show but there going North and not south. SydneyCruising is going to Newport .

OOoh and I 4got about that Whippy Van , have to tell him to hide from Kall
