Nsw Rx8 (taka & Kall's) Cruise 12/3/06

Well after spending along stint on the sidelines(working o/t), its time I get rite back into the thick of things :ylsuper: . As organiser or RX8 Cruises on this website, this is now the next installment of Cruises to come in this new year 2006. I will be sending PM's in the next coming days, to all NSW members and Canberr'ians, to come along for the ride and have a great day.

This will be a cruise not to be missed, as it will be an awsum day for both u and your RX8 :jump: . Woronora Dam is a great place to start the day, not only is the drive great but the scenary is also excellent :rock: . Woronora Dam will be a great place for us to take photo's and have a mini pitstop. There are also a number of different areas at this location, that would accomodate our club and cars adequately.

Upon Departure from Woronora Dam, we would then cruise down the NEW scenic route to Wollongong :yesnod: . This new road has only been re-opened a week or two now. Which incorporates a new bridge near Stanwell Tops, that has some spectacular views along the way. In fact the majority of the cruise from Woronora Dam thru to Wollongong via this road has million dollar ocean views :yesnod: :yesnod: .

We will then arrive at one of Wollongong's famous attraction the Lighthouse, where we will relax and have some refreshments along with lunch and as always a friendly chat, b4 returning to our home's Sydney/Canberra/Melbourne/QLD etc. Food and drinks/alcohol would need to be purchased pre-hand, which im sure we can arrange prior to this event. Photo's will also be taken throughout the day which I will post, but please bring your cameras and video camera's along too, because theres never enough photo's taken :yesnod: :) .

Meet-up Point
- Caltex Servo Princes Highway,Heathcote 10:45am(sharp), for meet and greet

Departure from Meet-up point(Caltex Servo)
- Depart @11:15am to allow time for any1 thats a tad late

Arrival @1st Destination (Woronora Dam)
- Approx. @11:40am

Depart @1st Destination Point(Woronora Dam)
- Approx. @12:00pm

Arrive @Final Destination Wollongongs Lighthouse
- Approx. @1:00pm

Departure from Wollongong Lighthouse
- Head back to Sydney in the RX8 convoy before dark.

Petrol: 1/2 - 3/4 tank will get you thru the day, so please prepare accordingly.


There are also threads on both Websites, RX8.com forum about this cruise. And my phone number will also be available to those that request it, if you think you mite need to contact me on the day.

Anyway its going to be a an Awsum day,with plenty of fun for you /your car / and your family so make sure you are there. Because im sure you wouldn't want to miss out on the 1st RX8 cruise of the year would you :nono: . For the Guys n Girls travelling from Canberra or wollongong for this cruise, U have a few options. U can meet us from the start or u can meet up with us at Woronora Dam or Wollongong. The main thing is being there for cruise at some point, obviously from the start would be fantastic but I also understand why it would not be feasible hence why i have given u a few more options.

Please add you name to this thread if you will be attending, so that I can update attendees accordingly.

Waldo, as posted in the "other" site, I suggest we bring departure times forward and make Woronora a quick scenic visit so we can lunch with the Canberrans.

If the Canberrans agree, please indicate your support for that idea.

I have made a couple of minor amendments : ), so that we can co-ordinate our cruise with our fellow Canberr'ian Members :eyetwitch . Now the changes are as follows, times have been slightly changed and we will now only stop at Woronora Dam for photo's and a mini pitstop. We will then procede thru to Wollongong, where we will have lunch :yumyum: with our Members from Canberra.

Plenty of places to stay Adrian. We just need to organise someone to pick you up.

Radios would be a good idea. I might buy one - suggest some of you do the same. From memory they're only about $40.

good point Dave :) , i mite just have to buy one of these radio's :rock: . Mite go look for 1 this week :ylsuper: . Hope there not too expensive :nono: , as my car is going thru a bit of a modification stage in the next few months :rock: so I need to save some money were possible. Coz it would be good to have a radio 4 these cruises and future cruises.

they are quite small and cute, i'm sure i can squeeze em somewhere. I just got called from the travel agent to go by pick up my stuff, and she told me im allowed only 20kg on plane :Eyecrazy: is that enough? lol and 8kgs to take into the plane wit me. well considering my mother prob doesnt travel with as much as i do.. i'll knick some of her kgs aswell.

I don't think the driver needs to be told to stay on the right side of the road....that's only for special people.

Yes probably somewhere in the city is the best, Id suggest Cronulla coz its a little closer. But with recent problems in the area :Eyecrazy: , I would advise against that idea and stay in the city is a much safer option. Even though troubles have ceased :Freak_ani , I would not promote Cronulla just yet as nice as it is.
