i will say I like it -- and it's making me wonder what it would look like on my Brilliant black RX8.

The only way i'd ever consider something like this is if the cooling vents offered some type of "big improvement" over not having a vented hood. We all know our rotaries run *** hot, anyone thats up on rotary + thermodynamics have any input on something like this.

I know the less heat we have the better, but would the vented hood offer any type of tangible benefit heat or performance wise?

yeah i thought about FI, but i'll wait till my warranty expires first, then i'll look at what options i have then, so i dont think i'll touch the engine just yet.

i would prefer a supercharger over a turbo for low end boost only for something like 7-9psi? dont want to over do it

is that a preference across the board or just for the renesis case?
trust me.... you will "never" be satisified with whatever boost you are provided, you "will" always want more

I like the new bonnet Zephyr, makes the car look mean!

I think Ezzy's right with the fact that you will always want more power. Too much is never enough

I don't know much about forced induction, but how hard would it be to mod up a twin-screw turbo setup though? I'm sure you could set it up so it provides a linear boost through from low to high revs.

Just renesis, i would say boost coming on at 2-3k then cutting it at 7k... you could say im a very conservative person. i know you could go around to 14-15psi with some of the turbo setups and i have seen it done on some of the videos but i'd rather not with my own car

and of course it's a different story for pistons...

i know any decent tunning shop could install a FI setup, but it's the tunning stage that gets everyone...

Something a bit different I guess. Have you noticed any more wind noise around the bonnet area from those vents disturbing airflow?

I can see the sense of this after FI, if the engine bay temps get too hot. Otherwise, not my go but thanks for sharing.

It's worth remembering that the OEM bonnet is also more pedestrian friendly than these aftermarket carbon parts.

no extra wind noise as far as im concerned as i already tried to listen for any rattles of sorts with my windows down already and it's same with stock.

and yes i do know about the pedestrian friendly bonnet inwhich suppose to absorb more impact from the circular shaped undercover things. i stopped caring about it since it was only meant to be for pedestrians but if it were for the driver and passengers then it would be a different story...

I've left mine on but I understand people have differing views on that.

What's yours?
