cool dragtoys!!! you will notice A LOT of power diff. with the light weight flywheel..... sadly I needed to take the nismo flywheel out of my car because my fiancee does not like the noise it produces... well.... there are other mods out there to make the car goes just a little bit faster...

cheers,

richie

Please explain. (I'll give you a chance before I attempt to shoot down the argument ) But, hey - this place is all about learning

Cheers,

I got the chrome moly mainly for it's strength not weight. Although it is half the weight.

1000hp through the wheels, I didn't want the flywheel shattering at 10,000rpm. The chrome moly is a lot stronger.
And to reduce the drive train weight.

Drop the weight reduce the load on the gearbox when I get on the gas . The more weight I take out of the car the less strain on the drive train. Take it out of the drive train and my custom gearbox has a chance of survival

The weight is an important factor in high reving engines, as the rotational mass plays a big factor in how the flywheel stays together or rips apart.

Yes, they are all good arguments for the light-weight flywheel.

I was asking nismo where all the power was going to come from.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Please explain. I saw all the others on the MS Japan website, but I didn't see a wheelhop kit anywhere. I'd be really interested to know what it is and where to get it. Thanks.

I have just fitted my new side skirts and Rmagic eyelids.

I really like the way everything fits it really is awesome and beats buying aftermarket fibreglass.

I will post new pics shortly

Anyway,
It appears there was a mix up with my order and they have sent two sets of eyelids in 2 shipments. But only charged me for 1.

Hmmm,
Maybe they only sent 1 and their tracking system is a bit screwed up.

I guess I will find out this week if a second set show up.

More updates

You can see the new R Magic eyelids fitted. THey are actually polyurethane and not fibreglass, so they fit perfectly, and I think really make the front of the car look mean.

Hoping to get my carbon fibre cowling from IPT shortly

Here are a couple of pics of my 3000gt being stripped out at my place last weekend.

I still dont get it. I must have covered both my eyes or I fear I must be blind.

And Taka posted a pic of something that appears to be carbon-fibre, yet DT says they are polyurethane?

Cheers,
Hymee.

Eyelids are a cosmetic decoration for the upper part of the headlight lens.....can make 'em out of your mum's contact if you want...!!! Here's a thread where you can make 'em for $10....

They come in many types. You can buy them as fibreglass, poly urethane, carbon fibre, vinyl etc.

It is like putting a cover over the top half of the head light to maje it narrower and more aggressive looking.
