Mazdaspeed CAI

I recently installed my MS CAI and found that the install was quite easy. The most time consuming part is removal of the front bumper. The sound is awesome with the Hymee exhaust. :D

There was a more noticeable throddle response and a bit more power. I have not dyno it so it my butt dyno say it is definitely faster.

i test drove an 8 with the ms exhaust/intake and one stock. tome, the one with intake/ehxuast felt a bit faster. only in the upper rpms. not lots faster, but enough i coudl tell.

i have read a lot of people here say that hte intake/ehaust does nohting but make it go faster and it's all in our heads. BS.

i say it was faster. my butt knows.

gratz on the intake, i love mine too.

i think most people say 5 to 10 hp increase over stock.. which after having my car dyno'd i would agree with.

I never know a tube with MazdaSpeed sticker worth that much. That is why people has not been talking about this at all. Mazda US special, not quite JDM for me.

As most of the regular here. We know what airbox mod can do.

CBF searching. Does this come down like a true CAI or does it just finish in the same place as OEM?

yeah its an exact copy of the AEM one. just a little bit dearer since its actually "endorsed" by mazdaspeed America.

not sold in the Japanese market (so its not JDM yo!)

I think GReddy also make one thats quite fairly similar as well.

an dif memory serves me correctly, it sacrifices a little bit of midrange torque for a better top end.

I'll just stick to my Mazdaspeed panel filter and Odula Ram intake until i can afford FI
