Does anyone have any information on the re opening of this track. Last year the managers of QR where talking about having a sprints program at Lakeside this year.

I also picked up a brochure at the motorshow from Sherrin motor sports and they have a track and training day scheduled for 3/7/07 at Lakeside.

This would mean that they have booked the track for that day. I sould be interested if someone could shed more light on this topic as I would love to see this track reopened and available for track days.

I also means it is only a 15min drive to the track as opposed to nearly 2 hrs.

I love this track .!
I was on this track over ten years ago now lapping in a 355 f1 Ferrari
Not much room for overtaking and a very short track in terms of lenghth

At the last drivers briefing at Queensland Raceway the coordinators where talking about Lakeside reopening this year. Tha managers at QR where going to run the program at Lakeside. We where also told that it was only going to be reopened for limited use ...mainly for club use. There was going to be noise limitations as well.
