sure thing we can meet up one night when your free
im probably meetiing up eric tonight so if you wanna come along then give me a buzz

the volks are the new sf challange in gold
front are 19x8.5
back are 19x10.5

looks nice but i have found that when i go over speed humps too fast i can hear something scraping. So i have to check it out first before i get some pic ready

in the meantime heres a link to the wheels

It is funny that volks have different size tyre for front and rear even with the 18x8s... The offset is a bit different. I am referring to the other Volks that I like: CE28N. 18x8s

front 225/45
rear 245/40

weight 8.99kg each

Impressive - rubbing at all?

More important what brand of tyre do you have

Anyone sell Yoko Advan Neova AD07 in Sydney?

i think they are rubbing when i go over speed humps too fast
im using cheap tires falkens S115 (i think thats what it called)
only reason is cause i spent too much on the rims already so i didn't wanna spend more on tires

That is why i will keep on 18x8s and have a strong and light one like the CE28N
and buy much better tyre like the Michellin Pilot or Yoko Advan Neova if I can lay my hand on.

I am happy with mine now so... it is ok for at least the rest of this year

Stock wheel is much lighter than you think 22lbs about 10kg... some aftermarket ones are even heavier

Interesting one, Eric. But it's not what you'd call either an objective or comparative test.

I'd really like it if we could create a 'sticky' here which does draw together all the various comparative tests.

We're all going to make a decision fairly soon -- some sooner than others -- and it's a fairly expensive decision ($1600+ ) so some objective information on tyres would be helpful & valuable

the abs and the ebd wont work correctly cause the rear wheel will be going slowwer than the front . the tire will make it slip and slide especailly if they are cheapies

That is right! so I am keeping it to 18 inch... lighter stronger better tyre.

Becareful Amuse I can steal your tyre. j/k

Most Volks are lighter than stock. SSR is also safe. Just have to know the weight of the thing before you order it. If it is heavier than stock --- IT IS NOT MUCH POINT except for cosmetic purpose!
Agree?
