Hydrogen rotary engine testing in Japan

Just read this in my local paper. There is a small story about -"Mazda has been given permission from Japans Land Infrastructure and Transport Ministry to test the Mazda Premacy Hyrdrogen RE hyrbid minivan on public roads.Mazda's newest rotary engine vehicle features a hybrid system that increases the vehicles power by 40 per cent and doubles the Hydrogen fuel range to 200km"
Could be a new angle for the rotary engine..

It's an improvement over the hydrogen RX-8 but it's still mostly PR. There is some progress being explored in more economical amoebic hydrogen production but until we can travel to the sun (at night, of course) to fill-up on naturally occurring hydrogen, it won't be the panacea that some believe.

Trevor ................good one , maybe the petrol stations will give away a free T SHIRT with your pic once you spend over $150.00 per refill

Cheers
