Gomez

The thread you posted regarding the sensor was started by Grizzly 8 another psedunym for lock :) LOL LOL . With all the psedynims i have used even i get confused as to who i am and who i used to be .

Rix Red 8

My fix to this problem was to simple disconnect the sensor no more warning coolant light coming on and just keep an eye on coolant level , cost 1 minute of your time .

Cheers
Michael

Thanks Michael... although I'm mechanically challenged :banghead: so I'm going to take the 8 to promaz tomorrow.
I'm also going to pick up my new xbox elite today  regardless of whatever its gonna cost to repair the car.

I really think it comes down to mainly the after-sales service. Buying the car is a once-off thing but then it is that dealer you shall visit everytime afterwards for servicing etc. So dealing with a sales guy may is only a discussion and such, whereas the service is something you would have to deal with for at least 3-4years.

If you are new and in Melbourne - us at Ozrenesis have pretty good relationships with a few dealers around here - mainly the servicing department. So we could recommend which dealer you go to and who to speak to depending on your area. I know dealer I go to has helped out a lot of the Melbournians in the service area, especially when its come to technical and warranty issues they seem to have gone to extra mile.

My car's no longer under warranty. Can anyone suggest a really good rotary mechanic in metro Melbourne?

I had the same problem, coolant light flashed on then off then on and off, every now and then. Took it in for service I was told it was a faulty sensor.. It hasnt happened since and its been 2 weeks since my service.

If it is, take it to a dealer.

I still think that non-factory mechanical or electronic modifications can have unexpected consequences, some of which might not become apparent for thousands of kilometres. Whenever you undertake any of these exercises, you are backing your expertise (or the "expert" to which you have entrusted your car) against that of countless specialized, very highly qualified automotive engineers, technologists and technicians with decades of experience to draw upon. I'm not saying there aren't some real gems beavering away in tuning shops and making super bolt-ons out there, but for the average mug punter like me, I'll take the soft and easy way out. I have much better things to do with my time and money.

Couldn't agree with you more Labby!!

I agree completely. Look at the dealer you go to in comparison to mine. Mine provides what I'd call poor customer service and yours provides a much better level of service. You're much happier with your car than I am.
