Hi Everyone
Hello everybody,
I just recently bought an Rx 8 in Melbourne, and found this forum. So I just want to make a quick introduction. I live in Melbourne, am an engineer, and I got a manual, black rx8. I would be interested in meeting other rx8 owners from Melbourne. I look forward to talking with you all on this forum.
Cheers.

Hi,
I've got a blue one. You'll find me zooming from the city out to eastern suburbs of Melbourne along the Eastern Freeway most mornings. The other way in the evenings.
Does anyone else do the 0-100km dash when you're right at the start of the Eastern Fwy (city end, heading out to Springvale Rd)? It is one of the benefits of catching the last red light before the freeway starts. I used to do it all the time in my MX-5. I tried it once with the RX-8 before the 1st service. I kept the gear changes at around 6.5K. I hit about 100 just I you enter the S-bend into the main straight of the fwy.

Hi thanks.
Yeah it is ridiculous to keep clean! Especially with this rain and sun in the same day (typical melbourne day!). The red looks great too, I was tossing up between the two for ages, and then it just ended up that a black one was available a month or so before the red. I have done 1800 kms so I have started to give it a good go and it sounds great. What about you?

Hi Donald,
I know the part you're talking about, haven't done it in the Rx yet. I am from the Northern suburbs, so I am on the Ring Road. With all these cameras around, you can't speed anywhere! I went for a little cruise around Albert Park the other day. Would be nice place to have a go.
