Headlight

I had post a thread in the discussion
http://www.rx-8forum.com/showthread....&threadid=8076

It is about my xenon light
I'm thinking, there might be a problem with my light, it look really yellowish

Please, can people from Australia who got there RX-8 already, which had a Xenon light ( leather pack ), check if your light look yellowish like my one, or it's look really white with a bit of blue.

This would be a great help before I'm going back to Mazda and ask for a replacement.

Thank mate!

This is my first car with xenon lights however to my eyes my lights definitely come up as a bright white with blue tinge. Colour is always a little subjective but I hope this helps.

So there must be some problem with my xenon light

For my car, the light came out with a bit of yellow at the top
From outside, looking straight into the light, nothing wrong
but if I see the light reflected from the wall, ( like the photo I took ), I can clearly seee the yellow part.

Sometimes, it's doesn't seem that bright, I turn on the fog light and compare it, not much different, is like my xenon light got the same type of light as the fog light. ( It should have a big different on the colour and brightness between the xenon and fog light )

No thklam, I meant the Parking Light is yellow and it does not match the Xenon light.

Thanks for the info... I can get the parking light now... hang on I actually have spares.

Any see a blue H11 for the fog light?

That yellow tinge at the top could be refraction of the light (like a rainbow), and could indicate that the light isn't quite properly focussed or adjusted. Get it checked out at the next service.

i suppose the yellow is a reflection from the Curve of the Low Beam Projector lens on your Xenon.

is not from low beam, I did try to cover up the low beam, but no different, the part I covered is the main beam

I did ask them to check it for my first service, they said ther are nothing they can do

My lights have that yellow tinge right at the edges like your photo, but my non technical opinion is that it is probably perfectly normal. Something to do with the shape of the bulb or some type of refraction of the light at the edges I would expect. I'm not concerned.
