Talking Guess What Did I Get?

I could not resist.....

I know where I am getting this from. I am quite happy with it. Lucky that Mia likes it too.

......... talking about drag coefficient with and without a wing. Do you want me to dig some figure from MazdaSpeed wind tunnel test of the MS bodykit?

From the Mazda's RX-8 book. Stock car coefficient is about 0.32 (maybe I am not sure) and drop to 0.31 with factory wing.

I have to find out what is the MS wing figure.

Yes Hymee with the wing setup in the picture, it will drag more and slow the car --- but we are talking about 160km/h to create downforce. Not on 80kmh on the road.

Only having a lend of you, Taka.

But you are wrong in believing the drag coefficient - it is a coefficient, a ratio, not the absolute drag force. You could have more total drag on a slippery-er shape. C'mon doctor!

Cheers,
Hymee.

AMG got out of the wrong side of his chair this morning.

.... I would not say it is nice and easy. Although have a template worked out but it is still guess work. I found the base is meant to be a touch off - took us an hour to figure out the best position.

DragToys... which position did you set the pin to?

I believe there is a proper definition of "rice". At least the MS wing is functional and proven to help at high speed corner. I would not put that in if I am not tracking the car. At least I have it in an RX-8 not the EK Civic

Taka

Your rear spoiler could allways double up as a clothes line for your new babies nappies , knowing the Melbourne weather its hard to hang up the washing outdoors .J/K

I am sure MIA would approve .ha ha ha

Never thought of that.

My first thought that it matches my newly developed double chin :D

Hymee: There is a proper definition of rice. The factory spoiler is not rice. Having 2 - well.... hmmm.
Any rear spoiler is rice then if you don't like it, right? (there is hardly a spoiler really increase speed properly. Providing that MazdaSpeed went wind tunnel for it. This is the least rice spoiler.

Original: Who install the spoiler for you?

Original asked me a question: I brought it off AMUSE... install it with a guy in Clayton. It is not hard - 4 bolts and some double tape. Real bargin. As you know I am not likely to pay $2400 for a wing hehe.

Some great examples of customising at that site.

Not sure where I found it, but this Skoda is a masterpiece of hopeful customising:

And a little closer to our own beloved RX8, is this tastefully customised MX5. I think it's a Madillac....

Something for us all to aim at.

Apologies Taka, I'll stop hijacking your thread now.
