Did you get them via eBay???

I tried to bid for it and someone always pay a much more for it. It is such an old model, although it is still accurate, it should not worth more than $30. I heard they got the whole truck load for $5 each . It is from Geelong right? I know the guys gone bankrupt and the liquidator (?is this right) sells a **** load of them at this price.

Good buy.

You know the latest model can calibrate to match your rpm from a cigarette 12V outlet and can plot a power curve like in dyno, or a telemetry on the track.

Someone ran a 0-100 of 14.1 on a stock rx8 and was from this aus forum.

I can't remember where he posted it, but he got bagged the hell out of

for posting times with it by all sorts of members.

Is it really that accurate cause i have no clue?

Cheers.

SHIPPED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PAYMENT cost for registered post cost $14.00

Taka most of them sell for between $50- 70.00 so i think your $30.00 bids are going to miss out

I think Gibbo got one for $40.

I want to see how much variation in terms of calculated HP is in these things.

0-100 and qt mile time does not appeal me.

I actually investigated those "original" G-Techs over 18 months ago, and found the MRDyno was a better machine. The newer GTechPro somethingerother is many hundreds of dollars.

www.mrdyno.com

Accurace in accelerations (G-force) was something like .00025 of a G.

I find the best use for these devices is to do an in-gear acceleration time, say 2nd gear, starting at 40km/h to about 105km/h (redline). And use that to compare before/after mods. That way you take things such as launch and changes out of the equation, and you get a good graph of pretty much the entire RPM range. If you do it between gears, you will only get like 7,000 RPM to 9,000 RPM, so you miss measuring the mid-range performance, which is basically your driveability.

I was using a MRDyno when I showed Lock how good these devices were, and we used it to proove the CZ actually made his car slower. I also got car sick that day, as I am not a very good pax. :o

Cheers,
Hymee.
