^lol, ut-oh.
That's pretty cool. I've been playing around with it quite a bit myself. But, some of the areas I wanted to look at don't have a lot of detail.

Not 100% true Hymee, they are a mosaic of both Satelite and aerial photos. but they are definately not "Live" satelite photo's like some people believe.
Interestingly, some photos can be up to 3 years old, so that car could have been anyone at anytime in the last 3 years.

The area that azzaboy posted is not satellite imagery, and is definately aerial photography. To be even more of a smart **** (cause I do have some professional knowledge in this area), they are even ortho-rectified aerial photographs.
Attached is a placemark (SomePlace.kmz) that is at a viewing scale where you can clearly see the edge of some boundary between some sat images, and some aerial. The middle and upper areas are air photo's. The bottom bit, and the lower half right side are satellite.
Some of my other favourite places attached as well
You need to unzip these files somewhere on your PC. If you double click on them and you have google earth installed, it will go to that place.
You can tell the Willowbank photo was flown in late 2003, when the dragstrip was being re-surfaced.
Check out the cool stuff such as the SR-71 Blackbird, the two Saturn V rockets and the Shuttle at the US Space and Rocket Center, Hunstville, AL.
Cheers,
Hymee.

I'll confirm the age of the photos. I zoomed in on the Roma St. railway yards in Brisbane, and saw steam trains parked there. The photo credit said "Charles Kingsford-Smith". Seriously folks, I zoomed in on our street and our house wan't there, so obviously the snap was taken at least 18 months ago.

Haha in Melbourne the Hallam bypass is not even built so it is at least 3 years old.
Found the estate I used to live in Hong Kong.... let me at the coordinates.
22 17'08.70N 114 11'39.32 E.
You can see it from 300 ft up
EDIT: A zip file is uploaded containing the link.

Oh it is on the Princess Hwy, Tralagon West VIC 3844. I don't think there is a street number on the LaTrobe Hospital.
Try this adress:
10 Wintersun Road Berwick VIC 3806. My old place. See if you can see a Camry parked outside
