Goodbye Yellow...
Dear friends,
The sad day finally arrived. I sold the 8 yesterday, to someone quite close to you all (I'll leave him to identify himself!). Another big move is on the horizon. Leah and I are moving to the UK for a few years, working for my company in London. It'll be strange to return there, after 23 years living in Oz! I've thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years of fun with the 8. Spent far too much money, but it was worth it! Meeting all of you folks, online and face to face, has been a wonderful bonus. Keep up the good work! It's been a gas...:wavey: Will |

Always a sad day when you sell your 8, Will...but hey, at least it sounds like it's gone to a good home (but then I recall the Avdoulos boys had a...er....'troubled' adolescence when it came to cars :eyetwitch )
Anyway, once you get to the UK, with fuel prices at $2.40+ AND living in London...you'll soon conclude there's only one car to get...the Polo GTI (of, course, that rationalisation means I have no excuse!) Hmmmm....on reflection, you might also want to look at the hot Clio...and the Abarth Fiats could be fun, either the 500 or the Punto...then there's some of the hot diesels we don't see.............................:uhh: :squint: |
