Sunday April 20th
We will take a cruise up to Springbrook the back way which is a very winding and twisting narrow road, have lunch up there and enjoy the view, maybe stop by the falls for a bit of a hike if anyone wants then take the better road back down, still winding and a few twist but better pavement.

Start up time 11:00 am.
That should allow time for any coming in from Bris Vegas or NSW to make it.

Run up the mountain will take about an hour then we can do lunch up there, after I get a count of heads I will contact the restaurant and tell them we will be invading.

Go to the falls and do about an hour there if everyone is in for it plus take pics etc..

Then back down and come out at Nerang area and join up at McDonalds on the M1 for a coffee and good byes.
Should allow time for everyone coming from out of area to make it back home for an early evening.

So if you are bringing wifes girlfriends, husbands, boyfriends, kids, aunts uncles, dogs, friends, or strippers etc.. tell me how many are traveling with you.

Restaurant will set us a area for us and will give us a set menu of 3 or 4 items to choose from as soon as I give them the head count.

 

Are any of you guys bringing D wife , girfriend or partner as in boyfriend these days you must be politically correct and cater to all needs / wants

Mine may come, she hasn't committed to it yet. Think she is waiting to see if any others are coming along.

I have no problems with anyone bringing wives kids dogs or strippers.

 

This a great idea. My wife and I have needed an excuse to have a cruise to Springbrook, and here it is.

I reckon we'll stay O/N at the GC to check out some of the local 'attractions'....it should be a good day...

Sorry for the delay guys....I've been up to my neck with it for the past month.

This Friday I'm working 8am - 4pm...then go straight onto a 7pm - 6am shift. As much as I want to go to this, if I go it would be way too risky, and I would be breaking every fatigue management rule in the book.

My apologies Mont....I'll have to wait for another trip...

 

Arhhh ****...that'll teach me for not checking - disregard my previous post. I thought the cruise was on Saturday.

I would have rested up enough by then.....put me down for 2.

Now that I would like to see.

 

Weather predictions have it as a wet track....so much for the wash and wax!

I also wouldn't mind seeing the new supercharger, and you never know with Hymee...he comes out of the woodwork when you least expect it. It should be a great day out.

 

It rains, it stops sun comes out, it rains it stops sun comes out.

Rinse and repeat.

Been that way for the last 3 days and suspect it will be the same tomorrow so make sure your wipers are working and you have a jacket could get a little chilly once we get to SpringBrook. But it could also be raining here and clear up there or vice versa.

Either way look forward to seeing, meeting everyone and their cars

 

We got all tied up for a short trip back to the States, as we are leaving tomorrow.
