Rx8 Needed In Brisbane Qld

Hi guy's,

Whilst I dont' own an RX8 (i've only owned an RX7 sII) my future wife is a HUGE fan (so am I )

We've had a few ups and downs with the wedding but its on for late this year. The big question is - Is there one or two people with this awsome car in brisbane that would be able to spare about 2hours on a Sunday afternoon to drive my fiance to our wedding (if theres two people willing, i wouldn't say no :p )
Obviously we'll try and make it worth your while (we are but lowely students but i'm positive something can be arranged).

If there is anyone, could you please contact me asap

Thanks

Disco

Congratulations, and good luck - both with the wedding and the car search.

Unfortunately, WA is too far away for me to offer my chauffeuring talents but I hope someone puts their hand up. (If L&L puts his hand up, just make sure you keep an eye on what he's putting it up though... :D )

In old Feudal England the Lord of the Manor , had to give his permission for the couple to marry , and he could also request the first night with the bride . :D

This practice was demonstrated in the film( BRAVEHEART STARRING MEL GIBSON )

The village must have been full of little lords of the manor .ha ha ha

cheers

Hi disco,

Congrats on the wedding. A bit more info about the date and time might be useful... so people can see if they can fit it in their schedule.

Cheers

Glad you said that. There's a Brisbane in California and I was getting ready to offer my services. It woulda been a long, wet drive. :p

Thanks for the expressions of interest. The exact date (sorry for forgetting to write it) is december 5. The wedding starts a 4pm.

I had no idea that there was a brisbane in CA.

And no, no one can sleep with my fiance - sorry but no car is worth that much []

Maybe

Maybe you can try to change the title of the thread... Something like: Rx8 needed in Brisbane! or something like that.... I would love to help you but you'd have to get married here in calgary, lol
Good luck with your wedding....!

That almost a good idea abbid, but she learnt to drive in a country town with no traffic lights and only one roundabout..... is the offer still there ?

RX88ER - thanks for your offer, its the best news a future husband of a rotary lover could hear, thank you.

Is there anyone else that may be able to offer aswell. I don't mind walking to the church, but it would feel better to be driven :p Even if theres someone with an RX7. had to have an RX8, or she might not say "I do" but i'll settle for anything

Thanks again RX88er

Cheers Hymee, that would be awsome. So it looks like i'm all done, these wedding plans are no where near as difficult as we were led to believe. Perhaps i should start my own wedding consultancy

Hymee, the date is the 5th December (about 2 months away). The time of the wedding is 4pm at the city uniting church (opposite city hall). One car would leave from a hotel in the city and i'm not too sure about the second car (ie i don't know where i'll be getting ready). As I suggested to RX88er, perhaps we should all meet soon to get to know each other (perhaps you might not like us ) Then we can sort out times and other stuff too.

Cheers again

OK - I'll see if 5th is OK. Do you need more?

We should organise a cruise soon so we can all meet. There are a few "newbies" on here and it would be good if all got together. A few of us already know each other from cruises et. al.

I'm hoping to go to the sprints again soon, so that is another opportunity.

Cheers,
Hymee.

If you re-consider about this afternoon, post a message here, and I will check about 2:30 today.
