Front Seat Belts
I was gven the following advice/warning when I had my car at the dealer today.
NEVER plug the FRONT seat belt into the REAR buckle. Apparently another owners child did this while sitting in the RX8. That's not to say that some adult wouldn't do it either.
Result :
The front seat belt cannot be released from the rear buckle - it is STUCK
Solution:
Cheapest option is to DESTROY the buckle to free the seat belt and replace with a new buckle.

Maybe it's because I don't have kids........
Interesting tidbit of info though.
