First GReddy Turbo in Australia!!!
As far as I know this is the first GReddy kit to arrive in Australia. The quality and packaging seems to be 100%. Dave (Ciao) is the proud father!

I think you will find he is having some issues with the turbo installation and has actually ordered something to check if he has leaks in the plumbing. I do know he has said something is not right!

I wasn't being negative...it's just that I work in a field where factual evidence is what matters, and I believe that should also apply in relation to performance modifications.
It is very easy for people to be sucked in by hype, and sometimes -- when you dig -- hype is all there is.
I did read through all that thread, and understand he appears to be having some problems. Most interesting of all is his decision to use 17" wheels -- which give a reduction of more than 10Kg in rotational inertia. I wonder how that compares, in terms of benefit, to a lightened flywheel?

I'm from a fairly analytical background too and also like to dig for the reality under the bullsh*t, and sometimes get into severe eye-rolling mode when reading some of the enthiastic bollocks posted on forums like these.
But, hey, it's not really a serious technical platform - it's more like a pub where we all get together and crap on about how our team is going to thrash theirs next next Saturday, or whatever...
I'm yet to be convinced that much (but not all) of the aftermarket gear in offer makes a hell of a lot of difference to the performance of the car. But tweaking up cars is as much about the fun of buying the goodies and doing the tweaking as the percentage difference it makes.

I hope that Ciao finds a genuine difference in performance when he fits the turbo. But if he's like most of us, if he gets 5%, after a week or two he'll be wanting 6%. If he got 6% he'd soon be chasing 7%..... It's the journey that's the fun, rather than any particular arrival point. And if nothing else, he'll be able to go "Whooosh....Pssssst" when the rest of us can only go "Zoom zoom". There'd have to be some serious grin factor there. :D
Keep sticking your pin in the bubbles Timbo - it's all only pub talk when it boils down to it.

Dave,
My Japanese is not much good.. it took me half a day to read the whole Japanese magazine front to back, while I can read a Chinese one over a mean :D
Hopefully the eManage program is not in Japanese. :D
