sounds interesting.. how does it compare to s2000 type of shifting action? I have only driven two of them but from memory id say they are very similar in that they have the short precise yet smooth shift action . I am beggining to think that some of our forum members have been out celebrating St PATRICKS Day a weeeeee bit to early :D cheers michael |

I does me best!
Anyway, have fittred my RiPa now...whaddaliddelbewdy, eh (that's for Queenslanders ;) ) Snick, snick, snick, snick, snick, snickl I have a bit of noise in 2nd, 4th is quiet, but it all feels very intuitive and positive. Good work, RP :p |
I think there is more transmitting noises when you change gear but these are good sounds.
The gear stick is so nice that I am in heaven ;) haha :D |
The also slight noise is  reminds me of sharpening a fine bowie knife blade , in the mornings the noise is slightly more noticeable until the car warms up , but then its f#$%ng awesome .
cheers michael |
Jack the Ripper shifter.??????????
When you grab your knob the shaft is so stiff you feel every engagment. |
I'm going to have to bite. How much for one? Looks like I may be looking at both a Hymee Exhaust and one of these short shifters when I get back from overseas.

Hey Gomez, how do you get those sharp pictures? I bought a digital camera yesterday. Never used one before. It's a Nikon as all my film stuff is and I can't get much out of it. The pictures are not sharp. I'm trying to do close ups of the shifter for the website. I tried using two strobes and it came out darker. I tried three light sorces and it still didn't do much. I'm using slaves on the external strobes.
Got any hints, did I buy the wrong camerwa? Lets see if I can get you a sample in here. Forget the samples I'll have to figure that out too. |
digital cameras are notorious for not focusing if you hold them to close to the object. hold them back from the object and use a optical zoom if it has one.

I have a Canon IXUS 400 4 megapixel jobbie that cost $500. You need a picture editor to resize them though. I use a program called Photoshop. It came with the camera. It's very popular and I'm sure someone close to home could hook you up with a copy. Good Luck....call Hollywood and ask for help :D . Your mate, Go"It's a wrap!"mez. :) |
Ok I feel like i beamed in from another planet?
Guy's where did you get them, how much and does Hymee have a batch of them. I've had Gomez's 2nd gear paranoia since day one and this sounds sensational!!! Cheers Mike P.S. L&L have you recieved your swaybars yet? My brothers coming over for easter and hoping he can bring with him. |
Mikeyr
Short shifter is available through the HYMSTER , at $ 350.00 its a great mod i havent stopped driving my car since i installed mine :D Hymee may have a few left from the last shipment pm HIM . Swaybars should arrive in a few days they were ordered on the 4th of March , there were none in stock so it takes them 10 / 12 working days to manufacture i will pass them on ASAP. ;) Cheers michael |
Cheers Michael,
Birthday soon, think I just found my pressie!!!!! Mike |
It was my bday pressie too ;)
Although I already opened, installed and playing with it. |
On taking digital close-ups - most cameras have a macro setting - at least my Can IXUS 400 does. You can use it out to reasonable distances, and can be used for tight portraits without too much distortion. The word "macro" in this context isn't really a semi-micro setting.
|
Yeah Richard, I don't know about the Nikon, but from memory I couldn't get a clear shot unless I was a foot away. You're not too close are you?
