My engine coolant light came on today so i topped it up but i want to change it alltogether .

What type brand of coolant do you guys recommend for use in the RX8 .

BEFORE I GET TOLD TO USE THE SEARCH ENGINE I HAVE TRIED AND COULD NOT FIND ANY results .

Any DYI THREADS ?

How much did you top up your coolant? Hopefully you don't have a leak.

Search has been a bit broken recently.

checked for leaks none apparent used aproximately 500ml of water to top it up considering i have had the car for nealy 2 years and have 39000km on the clock i am not really worried .

In theory they should be topping up your coolant at every service. Can't remember when they recommend a flush and replace... note to self... must check.

 

Spoke to mazda today they said coolant to be replaced every 2 years or 40,000 km

I bought 2 liters of mazdas coolant at $24.00 per litre and getting coolant reflashed by my mechanic.

Most likely i could have bought the same coolant at a cheaper price but i dont want them to come back at me that a wrong coolant was used just in case i have an upcoming warranty issue
